FEAR 2 going for over R480 is BS

yeah COD WAW Collectors edition was close to R600 on launch. for PC.

and you get a nice box and a booklet. YAY!

PC games are starting to follow the console trend!

I wouldn't have paid more than R250 for cod waw.
I think R480 is damn expenssive but its a game ive wanted for a long time and I don't partake in piracy anymore:D

Where was that? I got mine for R425 from BT Games. :confused:

But yeah, they can fly a kite if they think I'm paying R480 for FEAR2. I only pay more than R400 for a game if it's collectors.

Not only the price but more the fact it's so much more expensive than any other new release :mad:

Although I see Shellshock 2 is going for R400 ROFL. Single figure sales for them /me thinks

I think they've noticed the console games sell for alot higher than the pc equivalent and then thought "we should get a slice of that cake"

Seeing as people are paying insane amounts for console games.

I'm (not so) secretly hoping that the publishers/distributors setting their prices so ridiculously high get what's coming to them. For more than 10 years PC games in SA cost around R299 new for a AAA title. In the span of a few months the prices got jacked up twice and now small-fry publishers are selling their games for the South African equivalent of the American pricing ($50 ~ R500).

Anybody know who distributes for Warner Brothers Games in ZA? Hopefully it's not one of the big kahunas like Megarom (in which case this price would be a sign of things to come).
 
They will get what's coming to them. There's little incentive to go the legal route as it is. They're just committing suicide now.

There's no chance that I'll pay that much for a game. I enjoyed the first FEAR but the second one will have to be in the bargain bin before being played.
