Final Fantasy 14 Beta Starts 11 March

Guess I can now start considering MMO's again after testing my 3G in HoN on EU servers (no issues at all), but I won't be able to wait for the PS3 version.

Just a question: How the hell do you people get into Beta's? I think I have managed one or two, but often they seem to only want people in US or the like.

From a guy who seldom if ever buys a Collectors Edition, I will so be getting the PC version of this (then maybe the PS3 equivalent if I feel inclined).

Canne wait for this! Been a looooong time since I have played a proper MMORPG. Too long.
 
If any1 finds collectors edition in SA please tell me cant find it anywhere (Zaps,bt,take2 no have (well take 2 has but on uk store but they cant email key for early access))

OH HELLS NO! Im not making the same mistake twice, FF11 is the hardest game to get 100% achievements for!

Oh Caboose, if you do find anywhere to pre-order a collectors edition please, PLEASE tell me ^_^

MMO's are the ONLY games I will pre-order and get collectors editions for.
 
The cool thing about FFXI was the fact that you could own the 360 version, but still play it on the pc if you had the client. i.e. You could use the same user account on both platforms.

Not a very professional reply either :/ spelling bad as well ><
 
been like 24 hours now on the "second" 3.5 gig file. turns out to be lol; that initially the client was on a version which i got, but because it took so long to download it seemed like there was a second file after the first one. however it was not a second file, but updated beta client. so i'm still downloading on the beta client for now. it's a eye claw-outer, trust me the downloader is horrible, not sure how long it would take to do it the normal way...
 
Hah! A friend of mine got into the Beta and he seldom even plays MMO's, and well, he hasn't even bothered with it. Maybe I should nab it from him IF I feel inclined...
 
/sigh after 72 hours of downloading i just missed the testing cycle. beta client is just over 3.5 gig download.
