hmm interestingly I noticed this morning that friends-lists/blacklists as well as grand company does not carry over between alts.

Why roll up an alt? Purely to make money? I hear that there are no gil fountains at end game and that some people play alts just to make money through questing.
 
Hey guys, just bought this game and searched around a bit to find this forum. Would love to play with fellow South Africans! Which server is everyone playing on? I am downloading the game tonight and will be online from tomorrow. Hope to hear from you guys soon!

For those trying to get onto server, try in the mornings as I was able to roll another toon this morning, but was locked last night. Once you get on poke one of the leaders for an invite...remember to tell them you from this forum. See Blackswans post a page or so ealier for the leader names ;)
 
yeah, Im assuming this is also where I get Ifrit weapon. Watched a video bit earlier on the HM fight. Seem seasy enough, trick seems to be using the BLM limit breaker when he drops the 4 spikes. Rest seems pretty std.

Here is some interesting comments on the Lag/sync issues we experience during Raids. If you havent already read it..

Summary:

1. Never jump out of an AOE, it seems to mess with the timing of your position update (pretty retarding imho)
2. Seems we should be more worried about the cast bar on the monstoer that the timing of the actual red lines of the telegraph.
3. Some gfx settings may also adversly affect your gameplay in this regard..

Yeah, after Brayflox I started to run when i see the cast bar appear and during Ifrit I usually run into the Plume's visual affect seeing as the the delay causes me to miss the damage, while re-positioning myself as soon as possible. The more you do a boss, the more natural your reaction will become. I've gotten quite a good grasp of how the delay works, the majority of times get hit, is when people leech all my bandwidth and I start spiking. I haven't found a boss yet, that's impossible with our syncing issue.
