Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn

As a fan of Final Fantasy 6 though 9, 10 was ok, then played 13 and am really disappointed, is this worth a look into?

Never played a final fantasy online...
 
Yea unfortunately this game is now off my list, I just cannot justify paying subs. Not with the current exchange rate. So I have gone back to GW2 rather. As much as it was tempting me I just cannot resub.

Yeah 1 months sub is the same price as Rust....

I also cant justify it at a R10.9 to the dollar exchange rate. It just ludicrous

And unfortunately it is taking all subbed games out of my to play list even Wildstar when it one day releases will now not be played.
 
I'm in too deep now. :D

We are finally up to turn 5 of Coils, I still have the goals of getting my BLM to max item level, beating the extreme mode primals and then patch 2.2 hits in March.

I feel like I'm still getting value for my money atm.

Lucky bugger - log into GW2 gimme all your loots and be on your merry way pls :P

I just really cant affor the subs with uni fees at the moment - my subject fees went up by R500 each this semester and then the two text books will be another R1000

Totally understandable.

There are plans in the works for Cronus, Frudi and myself to come and have another look at GW2 in a couple of weeks, we might catch you online. We wanna have a go at the finale of the living story content.

Heya all. Made an account just to post on this thread :p

Anyways I stopped playing shortly after launch (missed pretty much the month and a half free access) due to work.

I rolled on Hyperion (Legacy), and would just like to know if there are any FC/LS, or anyone at all from SA strutting around there, or has everyone been sucked into Moogle?

Yeah we're all on Moogle, so if you wan't to join us you will have to move over.
 
I'm not aware of any other South African FC's, but our little team is on Moogle currently busy with Coils T5 and furnishing our FC house (gotta keep up the Joneses!) :p I'm happy with the pace at which SE are updating their content and feel extremely optimistic about the future of FFXIV:ARR.

Nowhere near capping... but I trust my MNK will be promising in times to come :D

After a few months of saving up for and having built my new rig, I'm a little contempt to pay for a server transfer fee (right now), but once I do get back on and see if my pals from PSO2 are still active around Hyperion I'll decide whether to stay or hop over this side.

How's ping on Moogle? (I'm going to be on a 2Mb Mweb line)
And last time I remember, Moogle had its population full-on capped since day 1 and ppl couldn't get into character creation screen for what seemed like an eternity... lol

All those issues are a thing of the past now. The game runs near perfectly now.
 
Oh man, I'm missing FF so much right now :(

Final Fantasy XIV Online: A Realm Reborn will be released for PlayStation 4 on April 14, Square Enix has announced.

Preorders for the game have begun, with the game available in both a standard and collector's editions. The collector's edition will include the content in previous versions of the game, alongside a new fat Chocobo mount and a wind-up Moogle minion. These items will also be gifted for free to players who previously bought the collector's edition on other platforms.

The collector's edition will also feature an art book, a set of cards, and a soundtrack CD.

PlayStation 3 players will be able to transfer to the PlayStation 4 version of the game for free, but the procedure is one-way: players won't be able to go back.

Square Enix also announced that a beta for the PlayStation 4 version will begin on February 22.

Friends said ppl who owns PS3 version will get free download for PS4. I wonder how much better the PS4 version will look though :p
