Forgettable game endings or memorable game endings.

What games have you finished yet when someone ask you did you finish the game you can't remember since there was noting special about the ending. Or a game you finished and you think wow this is great ending to this game.

Forgettable endings :

Street Fighter IV
Rage
Mass Effect 3


Memorable (well for me)
The Last of Us
Batman : Arkham City

Edit : Maybe just name the games, don't actually tell the ending as there will be quite a few people on here who haven't played it yet.
 
By endings, do you the very last bit of gameplay + the ending cutscene? Or just the cutscene after the game has finished?
 
Most forgettable... Diablo 3... I was like really? Is that it? O no wait i can start all over again...

Best endings, The Last of Us, God of war (1, 2, 3), Portal 1&2!, HALF LIFE 2:D

Project Zero 2: Crimson Butterfly
Tomb Raider: Legend
Tomb Raider: Underworld
Tomb Raider (2013)
Resident Evil 2
Resident Evil: Code Veronica

I'm probably forgetting a lot, but those are the ones that came to mind now so I guess they're the most memorable :p

Most forgettable:
Resident Evil 1
American McGee's Alice
Mass Effect 3
 
Best ending for me was the end of the last half-life2 episodes.. Was expecting another to be released shortly after that but nothing happened. Same goes for Prey.

The suckiest ending.. Must be diablo3 as mentioned above.. Eas expecting something more dramatic and it wasn't even that difficult to kill the boss.. Have not bothered to play the next difficulty since then
 
The only ending of a game that i can think of now that i can remember was for Spec Ops:the line
other than that it might also be Red Dead Redemption
 
Most memorable for me would have to be:

StarCraft 2: Wings of Liberty
Metal Gear Solid - provided you didn't submit to the torture.

My list of most forgettable endings is quite long and they must've been quite bad considering I can't remember any off hand. :o

Wish I didnt read that, on the verge of completing my first play through.
 
I generally don't like game endings :p

To be honest the ones I really liked are:

Command and conquer tiberiansun nod ending
command and conquer tiberian firestorm both endings.
Red alert 2 both endings
Unreal tournament 99
cod 4
Heroes of might and magic 3

Anyway, most memorable ending would have to be Mass Effect 3... But not for the right reasons :-)

Otherwise Fallout 2. For all the right reasons.

As when the game is at its end. Covers awesome last boss battles and cutsenes and so forth. There is already an thread about epic boss battles.

Like for instance I did not expect the boss at the end of legend of grimrock nothing in the game prepared me for it.

More in the way of that game you finished but can't remember how it ended.
 
The First Portal, the whole build up about the cake and then the ending song + credit roll was amazing, just sat back in my chair like "oh my dam".

Still need to finish Portal 2.

Most memorable for me has to Be Tomb Raider (2013), Mass Effect 3, Portal 2, Arkham City, Gears of War 3, Borderlands 2. Dragons Dogma. There are quite a few!

The most forgettable well... I think I forgot what most them were! More recent ones has to be Diablo 3, Dark Souls.

Don't get me wrong, Dark Souls is a brilliant game! But the game throws at you such insane boss battles, and then it ends with a technical fight.

Yeah, truly loved that! Greatly enjoyed the game despite me playing very few games like that :)
