Ja dude. Ek het al alles gespeel. GT5 (ROFL @ Sound) Shift 2, Shift 1, Rfactor, Live for speed etc etc. NO Game really captures the sound as it should. I'm depressed that specially these Simulator type games have such crappy sound. To the normal* ear the cars might sound fine, but no racing game out there has quite captured what NFS prostreet did back then with the epic sounding cars. You could really HEAR the difference between stages of tune, different dumpvalves, turbo spool, and the cars sounded the part.
*normal meaning ppl who enjoy racing games but don't really delve into cars in real life.
Lemme give you an example.
Gran Turismo 5 - R34 GTR

SOUNDS LIKE A FREAKEN TOY CAR
FORZA 4

Still sound bleh IMHO. There is turbo flutter, but it just sounds so generic. No spool, no engine grind, just sounds flat and boring.

Bleh
NFS Pro Street

Best example I could find. You can hear the engine growling, you can hear turbo spool, nice big Compressor surge, wastegate and dumpvalve working, wheels spinning hard through gear changes. And this is not even what it sound like when you do the car up nicely in the game.
Check what they went through recording the sound

Now Take Real life R34's.
R34 GTR, MILD TUNE, a mere 600hp, which is NOTHING for a R34

R34 GTR WELL TUNED:

So, you see what I am getting at? They have the latest and greatest tech, graphics, physics the works, but they just can't get the sound right
