Free ADSL speed upgrades from Telkom

I just did a speedtest to LA also, and this is my result: http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/2981918213Yes, I am on a 4mb line, capped bundle with Afrihost and streaming through a WDTV.
I just did a speed test to Los Angeles and my ping is 402 which is much worse (230+- to Europe with MyBB). Speed is down also but not ridiculous. I get 3.8 - 3.9 mb/s to Europe (on MyBB) and I got 3.48 to LA.
Did also test to Paris and got a 248 ping with 3.99 speed (best I ever got, btw. I think like speedtest.net).
I'm in a pretty small town with very low contention ratios, my you, which I think plays a big role overall. Downside is that we probably won't be getting 10mb/s any time soon.
Not quite the best, and it looks very erratic, almost burst like. I've got a free gig for Afrihost capped so I'll try that. Maybe it is exchange related, combined with the xbox bottleneck.

Quite a lot of people actually have slower connection speeds than their maximum line speeds.
My line sync's at 2 Mbps (according to Mweb and my Router) and I have 1Mbps with Mweb - soon to be 2 Mbps, so I am getting upgraded to 4 Mbps Via telkom and shall still have a 2 Mbps overhead.
While is may come off a bit of a loss, I see the good in it knowing that I will be paying for 2 Mbps and getting the full amount, other than paying for 4 Mbps and only getting 2. This is of course if we eventually have line congestion. Although I am doubtful as the exchange in my area is 20/40 Mbps capable.
