FTL: Advanced Edition

I know it's kind of cheating.. but when u know that you are going to a very difficult part you can copy the save file somewhere else and just copy it back in if you die.. this game forced me to do this.. it's so unforgiving

This game can force a lot of things on you:mad:

I've learnt to keep my cool. Never thought of this method though. Thanks:)

Hehe thanks. I had a lucky run. :) It's amazing how sometimes you get nothing and other times you get quite a lot of stuff. With the first boss I defeated it and then it told me that it got away so I had to fight it again and suddenly it was a lot stronger.
 
I'm currently having an amazing run! Best of all is this little random event where one of my Engi were infected by a virus. It's fully leveled up in everything now and is called virus. I also found a crew member that provides one energy to the room where it is stationed. :)

Virus?! I never experienced that. Is he still alive or does he eventually die?

I've changed ship. Using the....Can't remember the name now. But you start with an ion cannon and a Combat drone. I struggled at first, but it turns out to be quite a nice ship to play. I was having a good run, but then eskom deprived me of my joy. Not sure at what level the game will be saved if saved at all...

He is still alive but I lost 4 other members of my crew. Everything was going so well and then bam I came across an enemy that took my ship apart.

It sucks about your power going off while you were playing. Hopefully the game is smart and saves every time you jump. :(

I'm going to try and board the enemy ship next time I get to the final boss. It seems to work well against other ships. Maybe I can take out the crew from the inside.

I once had this gatteling lazer it was amazing keeping his shields down. Yeah think I will try the same with boarding next time I get there.

Nope. Everything gone. Had to start over.

This is how I defeated him before. Notice the 4 Mantis that I'd teleport in pairs to destroy his weapons.
