Gaming habits that must stop in 2015

Very nice article, agree with all those points.

Point 1 & 2 for me are the most important.

The last 3, well... that't just gamers/people for you :)

Title should read "Gaming habits that will never stop while the internet exists." . :p

Lol, this is too true...

Abuse in games i find really petty... Iv had it a few times especially in hearthstone, where you beat a guy and they then add you as a friend and tell you what a douche you are for winning... makes no sense to me...

Apparently it gets a lot worse in games like COD, especially when you have a headset to chat to guys in your team...
Yeah I've had a good laugh at my brother in law getting crazy mad at the 12-year-olds he plays against.

I don't have any of those habits during multiplayer, but love it when people call me a "haxer" in Team Fortress 2. :D

I do own a mic as well, but NEVER use it to talk to fellow players in a game because it's effort and distracting while playing something intense/ fast-paced. But then again, I keep the negative comments about "n00bs" to myself and not blurt it out like some gamers' habits.

I read this article this morning as well! I really do wish more online players will read this!!!!!

Predictable responses to articles calling for any sort of change

This a 1000 times over! Although it kinda links to the elitist attitude as well.

Some pick things up quicker than others, but when asking around for a bit of help the common response comes from the elite and is inevitably followed by some horsing around and being told to grow a thicker skin. By far my biggest pet peeve in gaming today.

Stop having pet peeves, grow a thicker skin dammit. :D

CSGO can also get pretty bad because you can you talk to people in game in match making games, If I had a rand for every time some high school kid called me a dirty word haha...

This^^ But I play DotA 2. It is nice when they call me a noob early game due too the difficulty of playing a hero. But late game when you win the game for the team then they have nothing to say. Some people need to grow up and learn that anyone can have a bad game. Some more than others.

DotA can, very often, feel like its the hive of abusive behaviour. I think it's an overall lack of maturity with regards to the desire to win

Just a quick PSA: This article was officially Quinton's annual quota for the use of the phrase "on fleek" in MyGaming articles.

I haven't decided what the punishment will be if qornea exceeds his cap, so I'm open to suggestions  (we really need an evil grin smiley)
