Yeah, I especially enjoying watching Souls runs. Though I'm not a fan of making use of glitches in order to do so, like glitching through a wall/rock in order to skip 5 levels and be in end game because of reasons. The point is the game wasn't intended on being played that way, though it is an exploit it's should also be a bug.

I enjoy watching proper use of game world and mechanics in order to complete the task at hand. That being said, each are equally interesting and I take my hat off to those. I have no interest in trying it myself, but I do set personal challenges for myself.
 
I don't understand how glitching a game counts as a speed run ... but if its a legit play through at a super fast pace i would give some cred to
 
Yeah not a fan of glitching for speed runs but if they found it out themselves then fair play, it is hard to find things like that. Some of them are impressive nonetheless as they still require very precise skill
 
This Super Meat Boy speedrun is pretty cool to watch. I barely managed to get through the levels myself, so I'm amazed someone managed to do the whole game without dying, let alone by blitzing through it :P

I guess it comes down to what you are trying to achieve, but to me typing /noclip and running to the last boss through all the walls and then say i killed the boss and finished the game as i attacked him from under the floor is the same as glitching through a wall to skip an area.

I have found bugs/glitches before and normally just undo or reload and continue with the struggle as most games I play on the hardest setting anyway as I want a challenge..

There are usually multiple categories for any game. There will definitely be a glitch-free speedrun as well, although it won't be nearly as fast. There will even be more absurd categories like playing the game blindfolded and so forth. There's a lot to speedrunning.
