God of War: Ascension review and opinion round-up

I definitely give it a 8/10, the reviews i have read about so far are awesome, i definitely need a copy & God Of War Ascension is on my wishlist this month, definitely brutal!, ;)

How can you "definitely give it a 8/10" if you haven't even played it yet? :confused:

Meh, not buying into the hype and giving this one the skip. I will probably play it eventually when a friend borrows me a copy or when it's going for R99.
 
Franchise milkage to the max. Par for the course.

Wonder what the title of the next one will be?
 
Indeed. Maybe a reboot showing Kratos' origins so we can all cry like babies because poor Kratos. :p

That is actually a rather intriguing trend in the industry as of late, Reboots all day every day (0.0). DmC, Tomb Raider, SimCity, maybe a few others (I can't recall).
 
I just received my Collector's Edition of the game! The statue looks fantastic! It was a bit weird because his arms are transported in a "detached" state which means you should be able to angle the blades in the direction you want. The detail is very good as well. It's definitely a nice fit to the rest of my collection and I'm glad I've got it.

I see the game also comes with an "exclusive" demo of the "the last of us". That should be pretty good - I'll give that a shot soon since I can't play GoW:A yet, I'm still busy with GoW 2!!!! :D I haven't even touched GoW 3 yet!
