Grand Theft Auto V - PC

Sooo it seems like GTA finally getting it's Pc release with GTA Online and heists etc...

However iv seen very little hype amongst the pc gaming community. Do we not care? I remember being super stoked when it was close to release on consoles but has too much time gone by?

I was going to buy it for pc as the multiplayer did look good, but then we got told that it was only for ps3 and xbox360.
Then after a more than a year they said it was coming out on ps4 and xbone.
Only after that did they announce it for pc.

Then they delayed it for the pc.
Then they revealed the price, and then they delayed the game 2 more times.

If they want to give so little attention to pc then they can shove it.
You want people to pirate your games? Cause thats how you get people to pirate your games...

And then I know the next thing people will want to say is that they delayed it cause they didn't want to release an incomplete game...
I don't believe that for a second. They could easily have brought it out back when it was released for the PS3 and Xbox360, its not like you have to rewrite the game so that it works on pc. Its just a port with some different textures on.

I'm just waiting for the reviews. If it's a good PC port, I'm definitely getting it. Have been waiting a long time and avoiding spoilers forever. I have very little interest in the multiplayer, but I'll give it a shot if it works.

I pre-ordered the steam release a couple of months ago, but ended up grabbing the PS4 version simply to play some MP with friends. I'll be playing the story mode on PC though.

For those who pre-ordered GTA V on GMG, the keys has been sent out.
You can activate and pre-load the game from rockstar social club :D

Correction: install option returns error. Seems like the server flood gates has not been opened yet.

Gonna be fun downloading that 60GB, which is why I rather bought the retail version. Installing 6+ discs is going to be fun though. :D

My download is already 1/3rd done, so it will definitely be done by release date, that's to say if there isn't a huge patch on release day, which is not unlikely.

Interesting steam bandwidth before and after gta v preload

Developed, yes, but Take2 owns both Rockstar and Turtlerock.

Thanks for the link. A bit sad though :(

No and no. The only way to get the game on Steam is to buy it on Steam.

Edit: need to read a bit more clearly :P The, A, what's the difference.

Blegh. Oh well, can always add it as non-steam game. Mostly just want it there so friends can see when we're on. Never used Rockstar Social club, but hopefully that works well.

The only reason to have it on Steam would be for achievements. :p

Edit: Hopefully TotalBiscuit gets a code to do a Port Report soon. Not that it actually matters to me since I can only get it next month. "whistling:

Correction, Take2 owns both Rockstar and 2K Games (the publisher of Evolve). They are still separate entities though and each of them own several different studios, so you can really generalize like that. :p
