Hi Guys!
Been playing GW2 casually since launch. Looking for a nice friendly guild where I can make some questing buddies and just generally have a good time! Not too serious, but do enjoy some WvWvW, PvP, Raids when I have the time! Im on Aurora Glade...

I'll play a few hours of PvE, then, every so now and again, will switch to the STORY missions

Reply with quote button is wonky for me, but Lyt, have you tried crafting? Discoveries give an insane amount of xp!

I try do as many events as possible in between finishing off Quest areas + all the vista's, points of interest etc.
Usually by the end of doing all this that I'm high enough to carry on with the main story line. I like wrapping up an entire area first before moving on (get some nice extra goodies and xp if do this) and then using the story to move me into next area.
If you really are stuck, jumping into crafting or pvp - you can easily level up quickly this was as well.

WvW gives some nice XP, sPvP gives you points and a rank instead of XP.

im level 13 i think ... got owned many times ... my tank is not evens close to being a scooter at the moment :-/
any ideas on how to tank abit more? im a norn gaurdian that looks like the hulk but as durable as a twig

Have you tried buying Karma items and gear as soon as you complete the Hearts?
Also try a diff weapons set you can play with a scepter or Staff as well as sword with a guardian so try swopping with diff types of enemies.

So last night I fell underneath the world by using my Mesmer's clone Downed skill, which teleported me underground somehow. If you're wondering what's underneath Tyria, it's water 
Endless expanses of water, with the different land masses hovering above. You can swim into some of them but they're too steep to climb back up onto. At one point I managed to find a part that I would have been able to jump onto but then as I did the actual landscape appeared and I hit my head 
I took a bunch of screenies as it looked kinda cool. I'll post when I get home.

Try a warrior, but upping your toughness and vitality helps a lot on a guardian.
Post some pictures of your characters.

You can't really tank like in traditional MMORPG's, you still need to make use of dodge and have at least one ranged weapon (in your case the sceptre) in order to survive.
