Is there an optimum level period/gap for upgrading armour and weapons? When upgrading my ranger at lvl 54 I noticed that there was not much difference from lvl 54 to 55, but big difference between lvl 54/55 and lvl 56 armour/weapons?

I didn't actually worry about upgrading my armour all that much, although I was crafting along with my leveling so I ended up upgrading my set every 5 levels or so. So I would say for a nice balance between utility/cost to try and upgrade every 5 levels or so.

Again though, it helps to know people - if you can at the very least gather the needed mats you can get someone to craft you the gear you need for relatively little/no cost.

I noticed, while leveling, that every 5 levels the stat difference is quite a lot. So just level and equip gear as you get it, but if you pick up a blue item that's 5+ levels higher than your current gear, chances are it's going to be stronger stats wise.

Thanks for confirming my guess that there is a 5 lvl interval after which, there is a significant increase in stats of gear.

I used to go till I started taking too much punishment, before upgrading gear.

I normally go like this.

random sets of armor till level 50 after that its level 65 and then 75 and then 80 armorsets that I normally just craft. Worked out great so far.

Guys, the progress bar for updates, is it based on the amount of data left to download?

Think it has to do with the size of the files or something like that.. not a very accurate download bar at all tho

Waco, you need to come online so you can craft me some armor... again :D

I wouldn't bank on that progress bar, it's pretty useless at telling you your full (accurate and proper) update size. Instead, just wait until that SoB is done downloading, then play. :)

The progress bar is based on the number of files to download, and not the download size, so it can be pretty damn misleading.

Ex: if the update consists of 1,000 files, and you've downloaded 100 of them, you'll be at 10%, regardless of whether those 100 files represent 20, or 50, or 90% of the total data amount.

What do you think about daily's?

Yesterday I did them but I think it's rather silly TBH.

For the reviving people one, I ended up teaming up with someone and then we would each take turns to die and revive each other.
There is no other way I see myself achieving this without this method, and it's not fun at all.

Do you do daily's because I am considering just ignoring them, they are a drag.

Don't have to do them if you don't want to, I am just doing them for the Laurels to get Ascended gear :)

I always end up going to the "Bloodfields" in Gendarran Fields. There are always Seraph dying around the trebuchet there you can revive.

Also in the newer updates one will be able to choose what daily's they want done - since at this point they don't seem entirely random.

There are zones that are better at completing certain dailys than others. There's a spot in Diessa Plateau where you can finish the healer daily in 5 minutes. You just need more areas unlocked, because it sounds like you want to get your daily in one area, which is not the way to do it.

And like Glordit mentioned, it's entirely optional, I'm also doing it for the ascended gear. :D

I do them, some days it is a chore but it is actually how I level my mesmer - I just do the daily on her and she gains a level a night.

Depending on your level - there is a spot in Gendarran fields - the bloodfields way point, just above the small town there, loads of seraph to revive.

I am doing them for the laurels so I can get ascended gear easily.

Ah thanks I think that will make it easier than missioning to find someone to die for me.

I'm only level 5 so I guess it will get easier.
