That's good then. I would be really disappointed if they decided to go the Blizzard route.

Given the fact that we have effectively reserved our character names using the Hall of Monuments, I'm already looking at this Sylvari info and deciding how I'm going to mold my character from the word go. I'm even working on a little side-story to explain why my Sylvari Elementalist will end up having the same name as a human character who lived 250 years before. It's exciting for me - I can feel the little bit of writer I have in me drooling like a mouse next to a pizza oven.

I always like to create new characers and come up with new names for them and I always play with female toons, since I want something nice to look at.
Let's guess private (PIRATE) server...
I still haven't made my mind up about this game yet. Might have to try it before I do, I just shudder when I watch the videos, because it gives me horrible memories of Aion.
Yeah ... a lot of folk seem to get scared off by the NCSoft Logo appearing in trailer/gameplay vids, but trying to explain the difference between ArenaNet and NCSoft to the more stubborn ones risks giving me ulcers - so I've given up on that point.
That being said, Aion isn't a bad game. NC just managed to drop the ball on a few things with regards to balancing classes and PvP combat, and I actually think the game's community is one of the less attractive things about it. At the very least I'll probably be playing it up until the points GW2 becomes available to play.
Back on topic - I believe this post represents the final chapter of the Sylvari reveal - nothing really new added, just a bit more detail on things we've heard before.
I thought you finally stopped playing Aion?
To me Aion was an awesome game and although balance wasn't quite there - and despite me only getting to lvl 21 on my sorcerer, the biggest downfall for me was character travel. Having to buy back XP when you die and run all the way back from your home base when you die ... tied in with the costs of travel... just too much.![]()
