Guild Wars 2

How big is the client at this point? I'm thinking of getting back into the game; I haven't loaded it up since early 2013

That only matters for wvw now. Since the megaserver changes home server has become pretty much irellevant
That is true, but as GWSA does take part in WvW, we prefer our members to be on Aurora Glade - that being said, we do have a member or two that are not on Autora Glade.

So the more characters, the less space I need?

Gonna copy-paste me some War and peace!

No, you got it wrong. They're referring to Charrs, the race. If you fill your toon slots with Charrs, the game realises it can delete the assets for all other races and then auto-shrinks your client file.

All I know is Stellar Illusions was the most relaxed and drama free guild I've ever been in and as such I'm not really feeling compelled to join any others in GW2.

Yup ... we've been so relaxed for the past 18 months that most other people referred to us as dead :p

We're upgraded enough now that if people are keen to do guild missions etc we can probably pull a few off, but we've never had any rules apart from "be nice to each other".

If anybody wants to ... we can have a reunion and do the Metrica Province JP for old times' sake. That racked up a couple of good laughs xD

Oops ... pardon the double-post

Those are ideally the only rules that should be needed, but peoples is peoples, and always will be so, and some will always take advantage, or abuse and thus necessitate the formulation of other rules.

The guild I'm thinking of was Southern Legion. I joined that and at some point I heard they had a lot of drama and infighting so I decided that I didn't have time for such nonsense and left.

Before most knew what online was, I was online and a member of FidoNet.

First Rule:

You will not offend anyone.

Second Rule:

You will not be too easily offended.

Third Rule:

See first rule.

Yes, Southern Legion had lots of drama and issues, some of which are still echoing in the GW2 community. The Guild no longer exists, but I still see people using the Tag.

Ahaha ... okay ... I'll try and organise it somehow for a weekend night where we can all manage to get online and on TS.

I'm going to start kicking all the inactives so I can get an idea of how many people we have - this whole experience showed me that bigger isn't necessarily better, and it's better just to stick with the small group

Pick me! Oh wait just not on saturday - pretty please I cannot do it then

Eh ... nevermind that - we have to pay attention to loadshedding too. Imagine how much fun it will be when the power switches off while you're hanging in mid-air.

I can't believe that 3 years down the line their launcher still can't tell me how much data I've got left to download. This is basic functionality for most MMOs. :/
