Guild Wars 2

NDA doesn't stop you from saying you have an invite just can't talk about anything in the game itself.

Nope. Check the FAQ. You can't even let people know you're playing :p

What does NDA stand for and what does that mean for me?
NDA stands for Non-Disclosure Agreement. An NDA is a legal contract between ArenaNet and you that states all content in the Guild Wars 2 Beta Events is confidential. By signing the NDA, you agree to not disclose that you are a participant in a Guild Wars 2 Beta Event and to not disclose any information about the content. Breaking the NDA can lead to legal proceedings.

I hoping for a resonable size, 7 to 10gbs I am uncaped but still not all of us have 10mbs lines.
As for race and class human, elemntalist for primary pve and a asuran or sylvari guardian or mesmer for pvp :)

I was on vacation in George at my parents December when Star Wars launched.. and downloaded 15gigs in 2weeks from a 384 line ;/ then the rest from my 3G bundle, was not fun at all!

Atleast i got a 4mb line with uncapped at home so will take way faster.

eish... 2 days of downloading for the 7-10gigs X( is there somewhere i can pre download the game data should i get a key?

You will likely get a download link once they confirm you have been accepted into the beta or you will receive an email with a download link sometime after that but typically a few days before the beta weekend begins.

Just checked on twitter.

"Hi folks, just to confirm, the sign ups last week are for a chance at the next (end of march) and following beta events for #GuildWars2 ~AT"

Only Beta invites end of March!!!!!!!! ??????

/cries

Wow that's a long wait. Good thing I'll have Mass Effect 3 to keep me busy while I wait for that email. :)

When is Tera supposed to release? I figure I could try that while I wait for the official launch of GW2.

It's launching on the 3rd of May. I'm just playing the beta at the moment, but while the combat is fun I'm starting to think that is Tera's only real selling point. The missions are very, very grindy. And that's just the starter island - I'm a little worried about what's bound to come down the line. No doubt endless dungeon/instance runs in pursuit of gear.

Which makes me glad that GW has never been gear focused.

Hm, so it sounds like the one thing that had me interested in the game might be overshadowed by typical eastern design concepts , i.e. lots and lots of grinding. Oh well...

OK fellars.

South African community fan site is up and being worked on for us GW2 SA players.
Hosted and created by ex-guild members and good friends from the past.
Show them some support, check out the site, give them some input on things to tweak.
They are aiming to make it the central hub for all SA GW2 players and I think it is a good idea.

Why is it that the first thing people do when setting up new forums is create a million different subforums so it becomes a pain in the ass to actually find stuff.
