Guild Wars 2

I wont mind a wipe since I've played my fill of Ele for the beta and need to try out some of the other professions like the Mesmer, I also plan to do more WvW and crafting in the next event. As for servers, I'll probably stay where I am since it has a nice population and the people seemed decent enough.
 
ANet did announce at some point that there will be a full wipe before launch, so you can stop stressing about that one point, ShadowFox :) I'll look for a source quickly, but don't hold your breath, I'm at work :(

Can I reserve my Guild Wars 2 character name during a Guild Wars 2 Beta Event?
No. All characters will be wiped from servers before launch.

No ... I know about the wipe before launch - that was a given. I'm referring to the next BWE.

Yeah, beta wipes. We all expected wipes for this weekends beta so it was a surprise when they announced that there wont be wipes.

I do kind of hope for a wipe for the next BWE but something tells me they want more people to test the catacombs and thus no wipes again.

Even if you do get wiped, and you choose a name say, AssassinMastaX, and some one else uses the same name then when you both are in the same instance it will simply display your account name eg: Glordit.6291
 
Noticed today that the Launcher has another +- 600mb patch ready for download. Though I have no idea what changes that will bring in.

Guess I'll just wait for the next beta to hear what they changed/added.

As you know, the game was initially forecasted for 29th June, Megarom however confirmed that the release date has now moved to September. We unfortunately do not have an exact release date, but the site will be updated as soon as we receive clarity.
Sorry that you have to wait a little longer.

Downloaded that update yesterday. Hopefully the next beta weekend won't be at the end of July.

Did anyone really expect the game before September? That's the exact month I predict it will come out.
 
Having missed the first BWE, then having to go to the cinema on BWE2 Friday, and a 24th bday party on the Saturday, I feel rather deprived of playing. Hopefully next one will be 1 Julyish.

But anyway, I was dying to make a Norn but they are too big for my liking lol. I don't mind big, but they are freakishly giant. When standing next to my human m8's, they come up to under my chest and they all point and laugh at me. So will be wiping and rolling a human Warr/Guard.

Sylvari are quite small, then there are the midget sized Asurans, norms gave up dwarf tossing for a better sport... :)

Well there's another stress test next Wednesday. :D

We were very pleased with how our servers performed during our second Beta Weekend Event, but we want to gather additional data on how they operate under load before the next one.
That’s where you come in.
All players who have pre-purchased Guild Wars 2 are invited to participate in our upcoming stress test. This four-hour test event will run on Wednesday, June 27th, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. PDT (GMT-7).
We won’t wipe characters for this event, so if you played in our previous betas, you can pick up right where you left off. All we need you to do is log in and have fun—leave the stress to us!
