I still feel, though, that it's massively wrong of them (the entire reasoning behind this op is up for debate, so I'm not getting into that) to target Sony's employees en masse. And even affiliates of Sony.
If they need to target specific people, go after the damn decision makers - not your average grunt sitting in an office.

So, they claim that they are not into piracy, even though the hack allows you to follow that route.
Ok. So I may be into gun collection for instance. Doesn't mean I wanna kill people. But if someone uses my gun to kill someone else, it's not my problem, right? Not exactly.
It doesn't matter what Anon thinks. The market is unfortunately bigger than them and piracy, as sad as it is, affects developers.
In all honesty, all opposing Anon's bull should actually start a counter action. To quote Tenacious D: "They're f*cking it up for the people that's in the streets".
Sony should actually take the hard assed approach and not buy into all this crap. They can take M$'s concept of online banning one step further and brick consoles if they pick up your console's been tampered with. It is as easy as marking all newly shipping consoles with a warning and that will be the end of discussion. Additionally, every PSN user can be notified of the policy. Simple.
I hate dishing out cash on expensive games. I am sure everyone does. But, it is also the cash I dish out on said games that enable the development of other awesome games. Kinda like the circle of life. Plus, the fact that I paid for it makes me appreciate it more.

Instead we are now at the other end of the spectrum...

I actually a lot of people miss the point (I'm rethinking this now). It's not about defending GeoHotz; it's about freedom of information. Anonymous have always taken a strong stance against that feeling of oppression, or like you're at the mercy of larger corporations, and I think this is one way of standing up to godless, lawless organizations and telling them to take a step back and literally fuck their own face.
