Hearthstone Thread

okay, i just dipped my toes into the Arena. Won 1 and lost 1 :-( but i picked a pretty lousy Mage deck. n00b mistakes
 
Ha ha... the guys that buy cards do make it quite unfair.... but thats the nature of the business model.... im in durban for the weekend, swimming midmar today, having serious hearthstone withdrawal...

Yeah, it's always about the money.

Hopefully Blizzard will decide to remove it at some point like they are doing with the Auction House in Diablo 3, but I'm doubtful about that since they love all them moneys.
 
Ya and this is quite different from the D3 auction house... I wonder if it will get to a stage where people can sell cards they get, coz that would be like the auction house, and probably piss off a lot of people....

Hopefully Blizzard learns from their mistakes and never puts a "real money auction house" in a game again.

I really just destroys the "what loot am I getting" concept. There were numerous times where I would buy new gear from the Auction House using gold on the PC version of D3, then the console version released and I honestly enjoyed it more since I had to make due with gear that I had.

Time for me to get back on topic lol
 
Ya the only reason I brought it up is because I was thinking about magic the gathering and how we used to swap and sell cards to each other...

Didnt play in the arena over the weekend, but played a bit last night and won all the "daily achievements" so iv got some gold for the arena now!

Can anyone tell me more about Crafting? and how u get the dust?

Well crafting is simple, any non standard cards (common,rare,epic,legendary) you get you can disenchant for dust and then use that dust to craft new cards, but it quite expensive, your first disenchant gives you about 95-100 dust I think. to get more dust either disenchant unwanted/duplicate cards or play in the arena, if you lose all 3 games in a row in Arena you still get about 25 or 50 dust I think.

Iv played in the arena and I won quite a few games before i lost 3 and i won a pack of cards, and 2 stacks of gold... no dust though... Maybe i must just play more in the arena...

I think its random or might be that you get dust when you've won 3 games or more, cant remember, but you definitely do get dust in the Arena

This game is Insanely addictive. Been playing it since December and just can not get enough. Any idea when the Ipad version will be released?

Well according to what I've read, it should be out before July since Blizzard are apparently planning to bring out a Android and iPone version in the second half of 2014.

Apparently there will be no open beta for the iPad version.

A Tablet version of the game would be so awesome... Makes so much sense as well, its such a simple concept, but so addictive...

Sure they want to get the game out of beta with all bugs fixed etc before they launch on tablets, because its going to be huge on tablet... This is blizzards first venture to portable gaming if im not mistaken?

I personally can't wait for the Android version, this game is already so addictive.

Just imagining being able to play it anywhere at anytime is insane, at least for me:D

Also waiting for the IPAD version, its apparently in testing phase but not available to public yet, I believe Blizzard is testing it internally and will release it closer to mid year, but you know Blizzard, they take they bloody time
