Here are some Bulletstorm reviews

Bulletstorm runs out of tricks and new combat situations about two-thirds of the way through -- there are points where Bulletstorm devolves into "kick these guys off that ledge" or "kick that guy into a heavy metal cactus" nonstop, pushes its gimmicks and set-piece design elements out there too many times and losing momentum and my interest.

Bulletstorm is seriously short - it took me five and a half hours to get through the campaign, echoes mode lacks the charm of the main game, and anarchy mode grows repetitive.

I'll keep an open mind here. I probably won't rush out on Friday and get it, but I'm still keeping my eye on it.

I dont think either myself or Murph thinks its a bad game, we are just not sold on the mechanic.
 
Watched review on Gamespot now, just numbers all over the show as you kill things. Much worse than COD, sies!
 
Nothing wrong with some great mindless action if it is done well. Sometimes doing the dumbest things in these kinds of games has brings the biggest smile to ones face. I guess, as always, it will come down to the kind of person you are, but it would seem, regardless, that this game has merit considering the pretty decent scores so far.

I am in no rush right now to grab it, but I am keeping an eye on it for when I feel the need for some "mindless" action.
 
Just read an intresting article on Kotaku: LowBrow, Sure. But Bulletstorm isn't stupid

And although I am far from being convinced this did make me think:

Bulletstorm's got a bit of a dumb-blonde act going; it bats its eyelashes with gory kills, plot clichés and more quotable profanity than Full Metal Jacket. But underneath is a much smarter shooter than its marketing is giving it credit for, thanks to an economic system in which ammo is the prized commodity. It's a game I didn't really start to appreciate until I got into the second playthrough, and maybe you won't either. But Bulletstorm's still a game that's worth the second go-around.

Gameinformer Review

Bulletstorm is an exceptional shooter brimming with personality and originality, but the concept is spread too thin in the later levels. New homicidal toys are constantly introduced in the first three-quarters of the game, which makes the final few hours a little stale. Mix in a ho-hum ending and the stellar experience goes out on a bit of a low note.

The first review i've read that made me think about buying it but this bit out of the closing comments made me reconsider. Full price for a game where I may get bored halfway through... dunno if thats worth it.

What a bad game, 5 minutes and I'm bored. The Graphics sux big time, thanks to old unreal technology.

Will never buy this. I can honestly not believe that they give this game good reviews...

Um... WTF! I have leveled alot of criticism of this game, the way it looks... is not one of them. Did u remember to put on ur glasses?
