A thread dedicated to the game Hero Siege. It is available on Steam here: http://store.steampowered.com/app/269210/
The game is quite cheap and it is a lot of fun. It is a topdown roguelike game with RPG elements. It has a dual stick control scheme; move around with one set of keys (WASD) and attack with another set (Arrow keys). The game also supports controllers, local coop and multi-platform multiplayer. You can only attack and move in the 4 principal directions (for the most part) - if you have ever played Crimsonland or the like, the movement is similar except you can't move in skew directions (North West, South East, etc.)
It is a great game and well worth the normal $6 asking price. If you can get it on a Steam sale it is definitely worth it.
The game starts out quite difficult, but you keep all items and XP when you die and restart; you do lose all gold and relics though.
