the players get very upset when you die or do stupid n00bish things because it counts against them and their Public Skill Rating if your team loses; so it's understandable.
But yes, I got flamed like crazy my first few games, they guys aren't shy either. Maybe just try it with a friend first or play a 1vs1 just to get a feel of the game
Honestly this is what I hate about online environments. People need to just get over themselves... really.
People always seem to confuse someone being a Noob, and a new player. To me at least, it is not the same thing. People need to give others advice rather than being quick to belittle them for not knowing any better. Online games can very quickly fall into an elitist zone whereby the larger community become a**hole*. People in general need to practice a bit of temperance and tolerance for new players.

Sorry about that, but that kind of thing can really get to me. I hope HoN does not get too hostile towards new players. I am considering trying it since for some reason I missed out on the whole DotA experience *cough*
Just got off of a 9 hour HoN Spree! Whooo!!!!
Sleep is for the weak. I've had like 20 games now and my win percentage is only like 25% xD
But it's okay, as a non-dota player I found myself having to learn the ins and outs of the game very quickly and I seem to be improving (slightly).
Just want to say to all that the game is really well made and I agree with everything Blackhand has said 100%
Now come on iGame!! Show us the money!!!
I think if I'd have to give you details, probably about 4-5 of the games had at least 1 member that was ragging on me for being such a total n00b. I find it's best to respond by calling then a n00b, and optionally a loserCause as much as you suck, they probably suck too.
As mentioned earlier there are n00b only games and if you're in one and you're being called a n00b that's not really fair is it? If anything, they need to move up a class and they're too pissy to do it
ask your parents? hopefully it won't be for a while though seeing as the beta is going strong
