[Hobbies] Underwater Photography

It shoots up to 12MP RAW+JPEG - which is what I keep it on.

As for the zoom, it has 5x optical zoom I think, but I prefer not using zoom at all.

[h=3]Canon Powershot S110 key features[/h]
  • 12MP 1/1.7" Canon CMOS sensor
  • 24-120mm equivalent F2.0-5.9 lens, 4-stop 'Intelligent IS'.
  • DIGIC 5 processor
  • ISO 80-12800
  • Touch-sensitive 3" 460k dot PureColor II G screen
  • Built-in WiFi
  • RAW format recording
  • Built-in 3-stop Neutral Density filter

My camera is also 5x optical zoom, but 14 mp yet cant get as nice pictures as yours even on land :p.

I prefer playing around with the F-stops to get the right depth of field on shots. When I upload my reef pics you'll see. But yeah, I suck at taking pics topside. I've never owned anything better than a simple point&click cheap camera before. My last (and only digital camera) was a 3MP kodak with digital zoom.

My best picture taken with my camera, still yet to try my S4's camera.

I've actually never played with the scene options on my camera, it probably makes a big difference with my cheap camera (was only R800).

Oh wow look at that! That looks very much like the Acropolis!

Was taken at one of the digsites in Israel when I visted 2 years back and was the first time using the camera :D (bought it for the trip) think I took like over 1000 pictures.

Oops - wrong end of the Mediterranean! I live for that kind of stuff! Yay history!

I wasn't going to add topside pics in this album, but to reply to that cool dig site of yours:

I don't lightly post pics of myself online, but since I'm all covered up anyway:

And lastly, this is Hurghada - one of the better places in Egypt and an absolute pleasure to visit

Yes and over time fussed together from the rust/sea.

Very cool! Don't you just love how there's SO much history around every corner. It makes me wish more people would adopt the hobby just to see what's under all that water.

Empty liquor bottles!

Actually most of them were full. The japanese weren't planning to attack yet so when they were attacked they were stocked up with Sake and prostitutes to keep the men happy. The harbour was more of a sleazy bar rather than a military base at the time

I knew it was liquor bottles of some sort... We partied on that boat till it sunk! :D
