Awsome! Did you enjoy it? I loved that game so much.

Did yeah, hence why it wasn't a pain to 100% it :D That we didn't do together tho... she gets bored if i go into "explorer" mode, which is actually my default playstyle. If the game wants me to go through door at end of passage, you can be damn sure i'll be opening all the drawers in all the hallway doors first, just in case I cant come back later hehe.

You should definitely play it in its hardcore mode if you enjoyed it...even if you just try it once, its quite a thrill :)

It seems that genuine gamer significant others are fairly rare. You guys are making me appreciate what I have even more.

I thought I was a gamer, knowing as much as there is to know, being good at most games. Or so I thought until I met my soon-to-be wife. This girl can game me under the table. Her list of games she has completed, from the days of SNES up until now is far longer than mine.

She beat MGS at the age of 12 without so much as a walkthrough or any help from anyone. And don't even get me started on the 107% complete score on Crash Bandicoot 3. The list just goes on.

She calls our gaming time PEW PEW time, when she goes pew pew you know some poop is about to go down.

Currently we are playing:
-Black Ops 3
-Star Wars Battlefront
Waiting on The Division

Since we switched to PS4 she has been finishing everything I own, playing Dragon Age Inquisition for a second time now. She finished Fallout 4 before I could. Is a bigger Borderlands fan than I ever was. Played the utter poo out of Phantom Pain and Shadows of Mordor.

Heck, if we only had one PS4 I would never get a chance to play on it, luckily I was smart enough to get her one as soon as she saw what the PS4 could do. Before that we played PC and PS3, everything from Left 4 Dead to 7 Days to die and more.

I am truly lucky to have someone like her to share my passion with and she is hot to boot, so If I could go back in time and tell 16 year old gamer me what was waiting for me, I would probably have less hair on my palms than I do now.

My missus has zero interest in my gaming hobby. Never has in the 20+ years we've been together. She will however Candy Crush and Bejewel the shit outta me.

I have much greater hope for my daughter on the other hand though (she's 15). We've been playing Rise of the Tomb Raider together recently. She also asked me to set up a Steam account for her last week because she wants to play The Evil Within (I didn't know she even knew what Steam was, never mind knew about Family Sharing!). She's also been my co-pilot/navigator/trade advisor on a number of Elite: Dangerous missions.

My kid rules!!

I hope I have a kid jut like yours someday. You must be so proud.

moondoggie86 my girlfriend is also a masochist I guess haha. I forgot about Tekken since I haven't played it in so long but she enjoys that.
Solitude we used to play those hidden object games together but that got boring. Only the ones with a slight bit of a story kept me interested.

Damn :wtf: I couldn't finish MGS without cheats  And I'm pretty sure I was 15-ish at the time. My mom also had a higher completion rate on Crash Bandicoot than me

We tend to have weeks where we would play every day and then stop for a few weeks then continue again. She has no interest in games like HON and DOTA because according to her: "I like colors". She wants to play games with vibrant colors :/

Total hypocrite though as she finished COD: MW2 and Medal of Honor (both) in two days with no help from my side.

At the moment we're playing:

XBOX - Rayman Legends (She sends me messages whilst I'm on my way from work that the console is on and the coffee is ready)
- Tekken 5 (I guess she's a masochist...she likes to take a whipping :P )
PC - Mortal Kombat 9 (She's not that into X)
- Borderlands The Pre-sequel (We're almost done with Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode)
- Borderlands 2 (We're playing this with her nephew since he doesn't enjoy The Pre-sequel)
- Plants Vs Zombies Garden Warfare

We actually don't play that much now that we've moved into our own place but we make time to play every now and then.

That reminds me. When we first started playing Borderlands 2 she was still living with her parents. We were playing until 4 in the morning. I told her I was tired and we went to sleep. She woke me up at 7 and told that I need to help her because she can't finish the boss. And...my coffee is next to me :)

If you are not married yet. Then marry her she sounds perfect. :D

My wife has absolutely, positively no interest in gaming. At all. She knows I value my me-time and doesn't mind when I game, but there is a balance: if I spend time with her and make her feel appreciated she will even tell me to go play some games, but when I just rush home and brush off a hug and kiss and run to my PC, she will be upset the rest of the evening.

Ya, that wouldn't go down well

Mine is a mixed bag with regards to my solo gaming. Some nights while I'm playing she'll put down a cup of coffee or juice with a rollie (we smoke rollies) next to me and other nights she'll walk past me whilst giving a "vuil kyk" of note irrespective of how much attention was given to her prior to the gaming session [emoji28]

None of the poll options really applies for me.

My wife basically never watches me play games, but that isn't because she isn't interested. She is busy playing her own games. She likes platformers and FPS games (only single player, still have to get her to play multi player).

I basically had her start playing way back when we were still dating. She didn't really game, and I used to play quite a lot of World of Warcraft. So she would sit and watch and comment that she didn't see the appeal, it looked really boring. So at one point I sat her down and told her to create a toon and play, and I taught her the basic game mechanics.

Yeah I lost my PC to her for the next few hours. She loved the game. We both ended up playing WoW for quite a bit, but that got her into PC gaming. :)

My boyfriend and I don't share much interest in the same types of games. He plays exclusively on consoles, and plays racing/sports titles, whereas I play exclusively on PC and enjoy stuff like CRPG's, MOBA's, simulation games, strategy games and so on.

It's rare that we'll play together. Every now and then we'll play Gran Turismo (whichever is the latest one) and I'll pick the car I actually drive in real life (because why not?) and he'll pick some kind of crazy-ass supercar and whiz around at a billion miles per hour. Not exactly "competition", but at least we're doing it together, and it strokes his ego. :)

My wife is not a gamer past Tetris. She knew from early days that I am a gamer and a lot of my time is spent gaming. She supports it though, and even buys me games from time to time. We have the type of relationship where she can tell me "Hey, you spend too much time gaming, I need some attention too" and it never brews until it explodes.

I have tried to get her into gaming, but she just does not have any interest. We play Little Big Planet together, but as soon as some of the levels get a bit trickier she gets frustrated and gives up. She has watched us play a lot of games, especially Left 4 Dead in the old days, and even knows exactly what button to push and where to go, but never played a single second of it. She is just THAT awesome!
