I can haz custom tightless plox?

As I said, it creates a nice sense of community and forces you to get to know people a bit. Think of it as a kind of induction to the forum community where you earn your stripes by a bit of a trial. After 2 years and 1000 posts you should've left an impression on at least a couple of people, or one of your latest actions on the forum should personify you a bit - like Eugene suggesting my tightless for me. :p

Ok you've convinced me!
jk, I still think the member should choose his own :) or atleast have a choice.

Seems silly that the members title gets chosen for them. Rather let them choose their own or give their own list. As for kwaai as the naai, fricken hilarious :D

It actually makes it pretty interesting this way.

Take a look at the suggestion that was given for me. At first I was like nah.... but now I'm like hey it kinda has a ring to it :D

Any suggestions made by the community will be added to the OP, so feel free to make yours. :) Poll will the finally determine the outcome, unless if there's only 1 suggestion made (like in my case).

BTW - what is the time limit on these titles, or are we waiting so the set amount of titles to be suggested then the community deciding on which is best (if 2 or more are made)?

Well, we have to hear from Jan first regarding this.

My personal opinion is that forum titles need to be earned. Preferably by something that can be described as a trial by fire. None of this giving away titles willy-nilly nonsense.

I suppose we can set a limit of say 5 options and then let the community vote?

Can I kindly direct you to Ms Wyvern's post that clarifies the forum rules regarding custom titles? They aren't being dished out "willy-nilly", the idea is to have "long-standing members" (i.e. 2 years+ membership) with a minimum of 1000 posts gain the privilege of having the community choose a title for them. As mentioned countless times in this thread, it's a fun activity that builds a sense of community. You don't have to participate if you don't want to, but I feel "earning" a custom title that's bestowed upon you by the community is a bit more fun than just choosing one for yourself. People want to feel they're involved in some way and I think this can give everyone a sense of involvement in another member's life.

I only saw this thread now.

Pretty cool idea. Haven't ever really thought about having a unique title, but I certainly wouldn't mind one.

If it's going to ruffle some feathers, maybe the community given title could be the lead up title and when you're more of a postwhore (hehe) then you can request your own type of thing? I dunno, maybe that just makes more work or whatever.

Farlig, you really shouldn't take everything I say so seriously. ;)

And those who don't want to participate can pick their own titles.

Just leave my title alone! :p I love my title :D

Custom Tightless = Serious Business

EDIT: Have I taken anything you've said to/from/around me seriously before?

I'm not sure, but you did misunderstand my post in this thread. :p

To be honest, I'd rather have everyone have deuls in an arena to earn their titles, but with everyone spread across the country it becomes an organizational nightmare. :(
