I know the difference between "Scrolls" and "The Elder Scrolls" Petition

Can't believe a petition is needed for something as ridiculous as this.
They should have settled this out of court but both companies are to proud to give in to the other.

It's not a matter of pride.

Mojang is entirely justified in defending itself from the Bethesda bullies. Were their IP not such a success, they would've been steam-rolled. It is a good thing that they are stood up to.

Bethesda--or their lawyers, at least--are intent on pushing Mojang around, probably because Skyrim is coming out soon and think that any publicity is good publicity. Who knows how it will end or what their motivations are but no-one is daft enough to think that it's to protect their IP. And if that REALLY is their motivation then they've been given too much intellectual credit.

I say we sit back and watch it play out. It's bound to be entertaining and I'm sure anyone with a lick of sense has put money on Bethesda walking out of court with their tail between their legs.

Scrolls is a colonialist agenda to force counter-revolutionary thinking on our comrades.

I have a feeling that it's more about very aggressively defending their IP, and anything that even seems like it might infringe a little. If they make an example of taking the Scrolls name to court, anyone that is want to be as close or closer to their IP would know that they'd have to defend it in court. This sets a pretty wide area in IP that Bethesda would be willing to defend..
