I won't buy Battlefield Hardline at launch, and neither should you

Played a bit of the beta tonight, while fun it just isn't offering enough of a difference to make the purchase worth it.
 
I will buy it i have mine on pre order but i have to say loading times compared to BF4 is much faster but then again it might be because it's not the full game yet and only the MP portion and not all the nitty gritty things but i kinda like it i see BF4 being dead dor a little while till they drop night maps on siege of shanghai

I agree. Played the Beta. While it was OK, it was more of a Battlefield mod than anything else. I wouldn't pay R699 for this. Maybe if it came down to R200 I'd give it a go. Funniest thing is, while playing, some the comments mentioned how this is the best BF ever. Those guys probably never actually played BF multiplayer.

That's a good question. I've actually uninstalled COD: AW because I couldn't deal with always having to play TDM because no one seemed to want to play other modes unless on the odd occasion. On top of that, dedicated servers have yet to make an appearance, which makes me wonder if we misread their supposed future arrival because matchmaking just doesn't do it for me.

I'll play the BF: Hardline beta and see what's good, but from what I've seen, their use of the whole cops vs robbers hook feels like a wasted opportunity. I'm kind of waiting to see more from Rainbow Six Siege (asymmetrical MP ftw :)).

Yeah Rainbow Six Siege definitely has my keen interest!
 
Played a couple of rounds last night. BF2 will always be the best BF for me. Netcode was terrible but the simplicity and teamwork made it awesome.

For me? BF:BC2 was the one. Which is another reason I'm buying into Battlefield until they announce Bad Company 3
 
I am going buy it and come release date there going to be plenty players on line, complaining how much they hate the game and playing it none-the-less. Hotwire's a fun new game mode which people are gonna complain about too I am sure.

Can't wait to play some CQ maps.

I think you might be playing a different game with this Hotline you are speaking of ! O_o
 
I have franchise-burnout. I can't deal with a game from the same franchise getting released every year. I just don't have time to play them properly, and generally I pick them up and they're badly made and that makes me not want to play them ever again.

So no, I'm not going to buy Hardline. Probably ever, to be honest.
 
The Beta pissed me of a bit last night,

2gb download, thereafter I opened up the game and it had a 24% completion bar which moved to 36% in one hour. It was "installing"

An hour later I cancelled and removed the install from the system, took way too long on my 10mb unshaped connection.
- This was on PS4


Instead, I watched others play it via twitch and it seems cool though, different than the older releases.
 
Was doing frame rate test last night; not using FRAPS, as it wasn't working, so I instead opted for "perfoverlay.drawfps 1".

Wow, it was inconsistent. I dropped into the low 40s and jumped into the high 80-90s, this, on Medium and High. I will have to benchmark later to see the averages. :cool:
 
I can't take how the weapons handle. Not for me. Skipping this one unless its just bec its the beta.

Yeah, spent two hours on this, mostly playing Hotwire mode... and well, meh!

I think it may be worth a R300 price tag, but it still won't see any money of mine.
