I've been busy setting up a profile on Careers24. I like the questions that you can ask as part of the application process where the system will auto-reject applications based on certain answers. I've posted this message om MyBB as well and they recommend PNet and MyBB so I will maybe post an ad there.
We've been through this process a couple of times in the past few years. In one or two cases, we actually found someone worth hiring and when we make an offer, their current employer makes some crazy counter offer to keep them. We usually just leave it and manage as-is cause we still had development capacity. Now however, we're pretty much forced to hire someone.
We would love to hire a senior developer but we've got some growth to do before we can afford someone for R40k. So far we're looking at someone around the R25k mark, but that is flexible depending on who we're looking at. A bonus though is that the person can live anywhere in Gauteng with flexible working hours (as long as we get our 40 hours per week).
Another issue for us though is that we're looking for a VB.NET developer which are much more scarce than C# as far as I know.
