look it's tombraider with a big sword (darksiders)

I tried, but I just don't seem to like this game. Just too many things that gets me. It all started with these "challenges" you need to do to open the gate. I can't understand why developers would force a player to use a certain move for X amount of time to kill X amount of enemies to progress the game. Why can't I just use the command list to learn my moves?

Then there is the captain obvious puzzles. good grief. spot leaver X in room X to open X. /quick nerd rage at this point. I feel like I'm not playing darksiders anymore but fucking tombraider with a big claw, boomerang and a big sword. lol.

If they just seriously had you play the game and not apeshit on the puzzle solving and forced learning it would have been an awesome game. Yet Dante's inferno was rated shit, but at least those things I've whined about wasn't so prominent.

GAH!

/rant off.

Crappy controls, weak level design and an overall weak game... among the top reasons for me hating this game.

Ya, I also disliked Darksiders. Just couldn't get into it. Gave up after 2 hours. Don't understand the "10/10" rating it boasts on cover. Bayonetta, which was released just before it, was a way better game.

Your just at a crappy portion of the game, it gets harder/better.

True, perhaps if you persevere past the opening portions you will find it more interesting. I certainly did. There are some cool areas to explore and some nice battles to be had. It's a pretty extensive game :)

I am playing it at the moment(PS3). I am quite enjoying it despite its flaws mentioned by Prophet...

The only thing that bothers me is the buying system. I prefer upgrading at any point like God of War. I can never decide to spend souls or just them for something bigger....

Hm, I must say I haven't played the game in a while (got distracted midway through) but I've quite enjoyed it. It does feel a bit like old arcade fighter game times in that all I do is button-mash and hope for the best. I think I'm missing something when it comes to combo fighter type games like Darksiders and Devil May Cry because I think they are primarily made for console and I have never been a console gamer.

I still find it amusing though how when playing 1v1 console games (like WWE etc), I often end up beating my opponent using button-mashing. It really doesn't do much for selling consoles to me.

I enjoyed Darksiders :)

I dunno guess i like the evil doom and gloom thing (and yes i got to Hell) didnt finish it though.

Interesting. I almost bought Darksiders last weekend. Now I'm not so sure anymore. Does Darksiders have a demo on XBox Live? Will check tomorrow.

I finished it, found it got worse towards the end and lets not even get into the pathetic final boss.

Don't get me started on this game

Deep breaths Spoonerson.

I think there is but trust me there are better things to waist ur money on like Bayonetta or a colonoscopy...

Haha! Maybe the Darksider haters need the colonoscopy to help find and dislodge those sticks.

:P Couldn't resist the set up :D

Hmmm, I quite enjoyed it :S Perhaps I just enjoyed the style.

I think so too. I was completely in love with this game, it reminded me of the first Soul Reaver which ranks as one of my all time favourite games ever.

True. But finding the stick would require you to press X, remove the stick over twelve stages, mash A, and keeping it out using a combination of X,Y and B. Then, you lose the stick, requiring you to jump over a few thousand pits of molten lava to retrieve it by holding down LB, standing on your face, pressing B, A, B, A and then returning the stick, before getting lost again and having to keep 45 doors open by pulling a lever on the other side of the room.

I agree with you completely. I loved Darksiders, I even bought the Hellbook edition for PC just so I could make my own PS3 Hellbook Edition and then I gave the PC game away. I can't wait for the sequel.

Well, maybe I'll retry it later this year. Dug out my devil may cry 4...
