Loooooooooool! Mw2 pc price hike

Biggest problem I have with this is that it's announced a month before release?

Oh... it's delayed... oh and it'll be more expensive...

Oh well, already pre-ordered and paid for L4D2 so I'm not to phased, I'll wait for it to hit the bargain bin R100 thanks!
 
The price will get lower in time. For now there's enough other great titles that's coming out with normal prices. I would rather go for them.

Um okay I would have gone for them in any case. :D
 
aslong as kalahari.net don't hike the price for me on the pre-order (i did it when the game was still around R375 including delivery) i'm still getting this but if the price does go up. cancellation ahoy mofo's...
 
That price is still R50 more than the exchange rate conversion? How come?

Now I might actually buy it online from Steam/Impulse and download it instead of supporting local suppliers!

Just a warning, do this to us and I will find the cheapest price somewhere else!

This is a game that you can play online. So it will not be pirated as much, meaning more people will buy this. Right?

Boycotting will never get anybody anywhere against a multi Billion dollar corporation. What they ask we will have to pay easy as that. They won't even flinch if a few south africans gooi their toys out of the proverbial cot.

I still think it's worth it, as in a previous statement, Brilliant Singleplayer experience and YEARS of Online and LAN enjoyment, R500 is smallchange then.

Agreed the big bad corporation doesn't give a damn about us. However its only worth it if, like Mappy hear, you HAVE TO PLAY it or risk going into the street and stabbing someone. For those of us who aren't addicts waiting a month or 4 till the price drops to a reasonable amount is more worth it. Borderlands is going to have the same lasting appeal. Dragon Age and ACII not to mention Burtal Legend. Like i said before no PC game is worth R500. Then i rather get it for xbox to play single player and when the GOTY edition comes out ill get it for MP. It wont change to world but it will change the thickness of my pocket this christmas.

LOOOOL! Your Right though. I will never argue the stupid high price cause it's dumb in reality.

I am just keeping level headed and getting the game on launch, cause as you said, I might just fly all the way to sweden and go and stab someone.

Activision Blizzard are really starting to piss me off... I've posted about them before and this just confirms my previous statements... They are becoming the new EA... Well done to them... Everyone is still going to buy this game anyway... Just like Starcraft 2 and just Diablo 3. F&*K you Activision-Blizzard.

Tinman went through the trouble of finding out what the prices were going to be and MegaRom were too incompetent to give the right prices. :(

IIRC there's no demo either. Imagine paying R500 for a game and you find that you don't enjoy it.

No way that MW2 is going to suck. It's an evolution of the Legendary COD4, and the Next COD Competitive Title for the AGASA league, it's going to Poon.

P.S. There is nothing Promod can't Fix :D
 
See the reason piracy must exist or else games would just go up in price. Piracy creates a competitive market in a other ways monopolistic market. Just look a Telkom now that there is a possible competitor they lower prices even if you can't get Seacom yet.
