Loooooooooool! Mw2 pc price hike

Sigh... Sad panda... Can't believe they doing this. I rate pre order prices will be updated anyways, so we end up paying half a grand for a sequel game. :/

In fairness to Megarom, they had confirmed these prices with Activision Blizzard when they gave me that information.

For those who don't know, this is Bobby Kotick, CEO of Activison Blizzard.

He has been quoted saying that he wants to suck the fun out of making video games, and basically make as much money as possible.

My favorite Kotick quote:

"Activision is not interested in games that don't have the potential to be exploited every year on every platform with clear sequel potential and have the potential to become $100 million franchises"

Other gems:

On expensive peripherals for games such as Guitar hero - "If it was left to me, I would raise the prices even further."

"I try to create an atmosphere of skepticism, pessimism, and fear in my Company" and "We are very good at keeping people focused on the deep depression."

The worst part about the whole thing for me, is that Blizzard games are likely to get sucked into this madness.

Holy Cow udders dude! I wanted to get MW2, but 500 Dolla! sheesh.
If the COD series so far is anything to go by, the Single player BETTER BE LONGER for R500+
I know it's more about the multiplayer longevity of the game, but seriously, does this guy want to buy an island or what? How popular is the COD series as it stands, we're talking hundreds of millions of punters forking out cash for the game...now @ twice the price???¿¿ ΩMG

I have a much better description in mind, but I'll limit myself to simply thinking of him as a beady-eyed little mongrel troll who should have his stomach removed, filled with the worst games Activision has ever made, and then be bludgeoned to death by it.

I feel a gr8 disturbance in the force... like millions of modern warfare 2 fans cried out in agony and where suddenly silenced.....
 
I used to worship EA in their early years, now I hate them with a fury that knows no bounds, Activision is going to the same destination but only a different path. Realy. 1st a delay and THIS!?!? whats next? an all out cancelation of the PC vesion?
 
Ok well if that is that shmucks attitude then I feel feathers when people pirate their games.

Ok now I am confused, is the price going to be R399 or R499?? I have read Tinny saying it won't be more, but now see an article saying it will. :confused:

It was confirmed at R399, but has been increased to R499.
