Let me guess, you signed to Star Craft 2 petition about no lan support? A multi-million dollar corparation like Activision/Blizzard does give 2 ticks about petition signed by a few million sad gamers around the globe. For every 5 that sign, 3 will sign and still buy it, but more importantly 10 other people will buy it. Igame, or any server site, wont hack it since they can get Sued by Activision. So wake up from your little fantasy world and face the facts, its going to cost that much deal with it. Wait for it to go bargain bin, buy it on release or, like Azimuth said, find a new hobby.

Uhhhh. Yeah. Legitimate companies must host a hacked server, undoubtedly leading to legal issues (i.e. being sued) because you aren't prepared to pay for a game? It may be expensive, but that doesn't give you the right to demand something like that. I can tell you flat out that what you want (demand) will never happen. Grow up.
 
Tbh, we've been having it good until now.. I distinctly remember my brother paying R300 for Tomb Raider 2 in 98 or 99. GTA was around that price mark as well (R270 I think) when I got it around that time as well. I'm actually somewhat surprised that we still get our games at lower prices than the consoles.

That said, the nature of this price hike, ie. just before the game comes out, and the corporate greed shadow very clearly hanging over it, makes it sting a quite bit and will likely mean that MW2 will drop down in my priority list.

Good point, I also recall only paying R300 for a pc game back in the day, only recently has it jumped to R350 or R399 a game.
 
TBH it probably will be the only game I buy at this price... Its COD for heavens sake I am still playing COD4 after a good couple years... MW2 will be no different, R500 for 3 years of fun? DEFINATELY worth it...

They were very sly in the way the decreased the price and increased the hype that way. Now everyone is say "that's fine" where they were up in arms a month or two ago. :P

But I also will still buy it. Just have to budget for it. :(

And onther game jumps higher in the piracy list... retards.... and we don't even get a fusking prestige edition :mad:
 
At least Kalahari have the goonies to stick with the consumer! Albeit at a slightly increased price.
How sick is it we always end up carrying the "cost" can....Everywhere you look it's price hikes etc. Damn we in recession right???

That's awesome Cyrus, kudos. One small problem is that most PC gamers are boycotting the game now because of the dedicated server issue. :(
 
I fail to understand the sticky price tag for this one. By now it should have dropped, even if it just a wee bit.
