Ultimately Mad Max isn’t the worst game in the world, but it isn’t the best either. Released at the beginning of the busy gaming season means that Mad Max may fly under a lot of players’ radar as it shared a release date with Metal Gear Solid but will provide countless hours of entertainment for those who are massive fans of the series. Personally I enjoyed what I did play of Mad Max but became exhausted by the massive map and monotonous tasks. Avalanche Studios have created a brilliant wasteland to play around in, but it is just that. A wasteland, devoid of any scenic wonderment and any really diverse areas, it’s all just sand with the odd car wreck tossed in for decoration.

Mad Max isn’t going to be a game I call a must buy on release date or even something you must play. It’s definitely worth giving a try because it can be quite fun to play at times. I liked the customization features for both Max and the cars, and I thought the game managed to be familiar but have a unique take on different things like combat for example. Although my thoughts of the game started strong, they dropped more and more as I advanced through the game. I’d say for now to hold off on your purchase until it drops in price.

I am still getting this tomorrow no matter what any review says.

Bought it for $20 from CDKEYS.com, seeing as I had $20 in my PayPal account that I could do nothing with. I didn't expect it to be 24GB, though. Will probably only get to play on Thursday now.
