I just saw that 2K have officially announced Mafia III and that the gameplay reveal trailer will be released next week (5 August).

I'm on Tapatalk so can't post a link to the source now. Also, apologies if this has already been posted, I didn't see anything.

I can't wait for more info on this. LOVED Mafia and Mafia II and have been hoping for another sequel for a while now.

Was just about to post a new thread about this! Fortunately I spotted yours.

Here's a link to PCG's announcement about the announcement that they will be announcing the game next week.

Mafia is one of my favourite games, absolutely loved the story and the old school cars. I wasn't so much a fan of the second game, it was certainly very pretty but I didn't really feel a connection with the characters like I did with the first one. Still... I'm interested to see what this one will be like.
 
Can't get excited about nothing. Upon seeing the tweet, I was not too excited to begin with.
I liked, played and intend to replay Mafia II... sometime.

I wonder who is going to star in this one, vito scarletta was damn cool. I enjoy these stories they unique.
Plus things will be way better than mafia 2.
 
I see there is a 6 minute gameplay video from gamescom on the net. Can't post the link sadly, and I also have to wait until tonight to watch it.

Can somebody maybe post the video here so long? Pretty please. Otherwise I'll just post it after work.
 
Just watched both the cinematic trailer and gameplay. Looks fucking awesome!! This game is going to be great, day one purchase for sure.

Agreed with you there. The facial animations are amazing, the story is looking top notch and the voice acting is sounding fanfuckingtastic!
