Maplassie's Essential Oblivion mods.

MMM, is included with OOO release 1.33, well the better part of it, there are official plugins in the ooo mod for MMM :) as are is the super view distances to spot distant buildings / towns etc.
I like the HD super rez map more than the elven one, but personal preference.
Illumination within, the chimney smoke and window lighting mod is better. The windowlighting mod it houses is a remake / upgrade of Illumination within.
I forgot "where is my horse", that is indeed a handy one, I've misplaced poor Shadowmere countless times.
As to Kumiko manor. Currently my mods list only incorporates towns/villages etc, not single buildings etc. But I will check it out none the less as I will be adding singular buildings/playerhomes/castles later on. I'll update my list tonight, then start working on some more.

ooh ok cool, I had an earlier version of OOO but I didn't like some of the changes it made

Ah Oblivion mods!I tried only a few of these (OOO, Illuminatuion within, Better cities...) but It was on my umpteenth playthrough, so eventually Fallout 3 came out and I said "hey! Oblivion with guns!"... You should try Cyrodill roads and bridges (I think that's what it's called,)it adds new roads and bridges, as well as open cities and the dragon mod(gives you a flying dragon instead of a horse)

Will post links once i'm done searching for Fallout mods.

I remember when I first played oblivion how, after a while, I had to force myself to stop questing around and get on with the main story. I can definitely feel a second round coming once I attach some of these mods and just forget about trying to save the world:)

I will download them all,now if i can only find my copy of oblivion.
+1 !!

eish man, i turned my game boxes inside out, found the cover!!! arrrggggghhhhhhhhhh - i didn't find the cd or the cd key. grrrrrrr....

i suppose that is the one advantage of having online authentication like steam or blizzard, you can install off a friends cd and not feel bad for pirating because you legitimately bought the game.

hmmm... i know one place i didn't look!
*crosses fingers* -- hope i find it - was an excellent game

Man I'd like to try this game again... before skyrim comes out. Just to see if the mods really make it that much better...

/resurrect thread.

I must say that the qarl's texture pak makes moerse difference. I'm however looking for 2 mods which I can't seem to find:

1) omnipresent guard fix
2) ability to place markers on the map

Meh lol I didn't want to ressurect this so I didn't post when I used it, but Prophet helped with that now :>

Thanks Maplassie, this thread helped a lot when I tried to get back into Oblivion again. Never really liked the game and always ended up stopping after about 5 hours of play, but the mods listed here greatly improved the game and I'm up to 40 hours already. The levelling system was particularly annoying.
