Mass Effect 3 PC requires Origin if you want to play

Not surprised at all have to use it for bf3. Never had a problem.

True, It's just getting to the point where you can play it that origin sometimes go strange on person. I would however have liked a system that doesn't force you do go with a certain digital distro, but I guess this is what you call needed action to promote it.

I thought this was common knowledge? The only thing I'm surprised about is that there was an announcement at all.

So common I'd forgot about it :o, but then acted in surprised ;)

:edit
Still have to order it though, not yet motived enough. That will change closer to launch.

Unless I get an XBOX before then, I doubt I'll get this.

It might sound stuck-up and prudish, but I'm still not really sold on Origin. Even though my single lost sale might not make a difference in the grand scheme of things, I'd still like to see EA change the way they treat their customers.

Their help desk is concerning. I had both excellent and terrible experience, on the one had one guy was really good with helping me out with my master ID, but on the other hand the poor person really couldn't read or understand what the problem was. In fact he thought I was asking him for support on problem 1 to 10 listed as my feed back of my experience. It took many mails to explain this ending in something like " ok then, good buy ".

Wow.... I have the collector's edition pre-ordered and paid for. But this announcement actually does surprise me.

Looks like I get to put some consideration into whether or not I intend to actually go through with the purchase.

Origin can FOAD as far as I'm concerned.

Origin is basically just a launcher. Start up, click game. No mandatory updates, no backround downloading and all that bs. And it starts offline.

But you already use origin :p

^ THIS! Man speaks the truth!

Oh well not a loss to me, was never really interested in the ME games anyway.

It's not that they have anything against steam, it's blatantly obvious that they would sell 100 times as much on steam than on origin plus steam also gets a slice of the profits. Looks like BIG BAD EA does not want that...
