Mass Effect 3 Thread

Well I finally got out of my 4 hour long play session. I guess that says enough about whether this game is any good. :)
 
Did anyone else have a really slow update download from Origin when installing from the disc?
 
My downloads were quick. However something went wrong with the soundtrack download and it's asking me to download it again. Unfortunately I don't have time to play it now. Just had a quick look. And wow!

It was awesome seeing all my past choices. I had to recreate my character's looks though because for some reason it couldn't load that from the save game. Got it pretty close to what it was previously.

And then it loaded. So quick that I barely had a glimpse of the loading screen. Damn you SSD! :-) Wow, it's crazy that they used to use elevator rides for loading and now it happens instantaneously. The game is so smooth and it looks great. I can't wait to have a proper gameplay session.

4.5 hours done. Eyes are burning. I have become soft since ME2, good thing I have this now. Amazing game...I love seeing old faces.
 
Started at about 8 Local time & its its now 2am. Taking it slow, searching every nook and cranny of each environment.
2 things jump out immediately, they weren't kidding about the gaming being harder, my lvl 35 Soldier is taking on Insanity and it is rough. I love the engineers that drop turrets encouraging you to take the engineers out before they spawn more turrets than you can deal with. Enemies are also smarter although not by much. Also I can tell that while I am glad that grenades are back the enemy spamming me with them is going to get old FAST.

For everyone that lamented the Multiplayer tying into the SP I hope they can now rest easy as it is very clear from the Achievements that you either have to do all the N7 (SP) missions or the Co-Op. I knew Bioware wouldn't cut their own throats like that.

I am going to crash now so I can wake up early and get more time in.

Last thing, I hate the Argus rifle, its a pile of shit & where the fuck is my Mattock?!
 
I played the singleplayer for about half an hour, then I popped into multiplayer and played till 3 this morning with my brother.

So... fun. Awesome. >.<

Started last night and I don't think I was in the right mood, after a long hard day at work I just wasn't feeling it.

Will play some more tonight.
 
Want to ask. For guys that didn't import a char, what game mode did you choose? I chose action but thinking I should actually go for RPG. Might just restart from scratch tonight.
 
Been playing almost all day, 7hrs in and I am absolutely blown away!
Geez, what an improvement of ME2! I the new combat system, and the more in-depth leveling up system, it really lets you excel in the area you want to.

Loving the story so far, it's definitely more emotionally engaging this time, it does so well to create that feeling of hopelessness.

This is definitely gonna be the biggest competitor for GOTY!
 
Wow, I've finally come up for air after my 6 hour stint. About 1.5 hours of that was MP and I'm enjoying it rather much. :)
 
Well... I bought this on launch day. I must say that its seriously the best game I have ever played! Well done Bioware! This hits the spot dead on!

I just wish I could jam all day long like the rest of you fellas. :P

Don't feel bad, I wish I could jam all day too. . . Alas, kids and work prevent such things.
 
Wow, I didn't even realize that Mass Effect 3 has already released! Time goes by so fast, definitely going to be getting my hands on it very soon - it's looking like the feedback is great!
 
The best thing ever is that your Mass Effect 2 character remains at the level they were when you left them. You literally kick everything off as kick-ass as you were in the last game, woo!

I must say I'm digging the return of gun mods -- I'm finding wepons and mods everywhere and I'm thoughly enjoying making them more potent. Now if only I could buy some of the armour suits at the Citadel...
 
Is it me, or is the MP actually quite amazing? Had a lot of fun playing it today. Didn't even touch the SP today.
