Mass Effect 3 Thread

Man I'm so surprised at how much I'm enjoying the MP. I reckon I'm going to be playing ME3 for some time after I finish the SP.

Same, me, Grimspoon and Gir just spent about 2 hours playing the MP and Im loving it.

Yeah it was awesome, need to get some practice in. Sorry my mic wasn't charged last night, I've charged it now so next time I won't be a the silent team mate. Pretty frustrating not being able to talk sometimes, specially last night when i saw the flame-thrower flanking us. Atleast I managed to get enough cash to unlock some weapon upgrades.

Lol! No Worries, I figured something along those lines. Plus you didn't do that bad, saved my ass a couple of times. I'm going to try and get Murph recruited to join us, 4 players should make it even more fun.

That pyro was a bitch sneaking up behind us.

Also playing Harcore. Normal is just too easy. Had to switch back to Normal for some of the boss fights though.

Yeah, but there's a certain assassin boss character which you encounter twice, and after dying about thirty times in both encounters I realized that I simply wasn't going to beat him on Hardcore. Not with my Soldier, anyway. Even on Normal I still died a few times before beating him.

He's actually one of the detractors to the game for me. His encounters weren't really thought out all that well, and he's way overpowered. It wouldn't be so bad if it was just him, but the game insists on throwing him and a bunch of other enemies at you as well.

There was a fight where three Banshees attacked you simultaneously, and it was easier than his boss-fight.

:edit
Dark Souls is looking at me...

Switching? then you are not playing hardcore *erm*.

Playing my me1 > me2 > me3 char :)

Same here. One fight in Grissom Academy I struggled with for over an hour. But Im too stubborn to turn the difficulty down. I think i got that from Demon's Souls/Dark Souls.

True you can but I would like to see you last more than 1 wave.

Does difficulty affect co-op? Because I am sure when me and murph played the demo it was easier.

:wtf:

Grissom Acadamy is a place... you fight in it, not against it.

in mp yeah on bronze I can but not on silver or gold those then just take to much shots to kill. You set the dif to bronze silver or gold.

I know don't want to spoil it for anyone and you know what enemy I talk am talking about.

Had a serious wtf moment last night. I kept getting killed in this one mission. It was near impossible to do anything, 10 seconds and I was dead. After trying about 20 times and almost smashing my xbox I restored a earlier save. Get back to the exact same scene and cream it first go. :wtf:

It was like the difficulty changed to insane.

Which mission was it ?

I've found that if you walk into some fights without getting the correct vantage point / entrance point, you generally just die in agony :)

Had to visit Sanctuary last night, epic fail in this one room... Restored a few times until I discovered there is a side door and if you use that, you suddenly have better cover spots to use.

Unlocked my Quarian Engineer last night in the MP. Turret ftw!!!

Good morning. Anyone checked out the Mass Effect 3 Datapad app for iOS yet? Started with it last night, kind of cool that it interfaces to your in game experience.

I'm also currently using a Quarian Engineer for MP. They're really fun.

Also, does anyone else find that Vanguards are way OP? I don't even bother joining a game if there's a Vanguard in it. They're so powerful everyone else struggles to get kills. Their score usually runs at about 50 000 with the rest of us being lucky if we make it to 10 000.

I actually haven't noticed that. I'm loving playing as engineer though, when the berserkers or any type of elite enemy comes out just set a drone on them and they are distracted from killing you or any of your team mates, it make surviving that much easier.
