Mass Effect: Andromeda

Bugger, now I can't remember how my game ended. I just remember i was somewhat dissapointed. Think i need to put some time aside to replay the series again.

All the colonies might have been wiped out in the last couple of centuries by some super reapers, making the Andromeda crew the last of the human race.

That is why I was trying to finish them all! But I failed, still need to play 3

I really hope they patch the excessive blinking soon. I'm too focused on it in conversations.

Haha I haven't noticed it. :)

I played some multiplayer last night and sucked so badly. This morning I did much better however! Very happy about that. All the missions that I played in was successful. Will now go back to single player.

The MP is pretty fun. But I always come in dead last. How do those strike team things work? Do they really take 2-3 hours to run through? What if your connection drops?

I really regret not getting the game on PC though... FPS on analogue sticks just suck! And with the lack of radial squad menu, I had to dial back off insanity difficulty :(

Haha I was thinking that I would prefer to play the single player on console. But yes multiplayer is perfect with mouse and keyboard. There's just so many buttons that I sometimes press the wrong one! :)

I played a lot of multiplayer though and now I kick ass. Most of the matches I played in yesterday I came first. It just took me a while to get used to it all. I've just been very unlucky with the packs. I like to play as an infiltrator but I'm just not getting sniper rifles. At all. I still only have the one that you begin with.

I'm not a big fan of multiplayer in games all that much but man I enjoy it in ME. It's a lot of fun.

Single player I've also been enjoying even though I played it less. I do have one thing that made me wonder: The females all look stylised and the males all look normal. So I googled it. And it appears this was done on purpose!

The male characters basically look just like the real life people they've been modeled after. The female characters have been made ugly and look nothing like the people they are supposed to be modeled after.

WTF. That's really stupid.

What kind of packs are you getting? I'm saving up for the 50,000 point one... I ended up bumping up the sensitivity on my X/Y axis' and it helps, might bump it up a bit more. Maybe when it goes on sale on Origin I'll get the PC version. Heck, I've got the original trilogy on 3 platforms, so... lol

Ya, that's pretty bad, but I actually don't mind. I am at a point in my life where I don't want to be attracted to fictional characters "whistling:

Yep, because good looking women in games create unhealthy expectations. I see the SJW crowd is upset because Cora is straight.

Gonna use the improved Sara preset for my next play through.

Try doing some Destiny raids, they can take hours! Skolas took me about 9 hours to do.

Anyway... what platform did you get it on? Also Andromeda isn't really an FPS but I can see your frustration. It definitely takes some getting used to aiming with the analogues. But it's also my understanding that there is no PvP in ME, just co-op or horde/wave style multiplayer?

Did you have to do 9 hours in one sitting? I sure as heck hope not!

I got PS4... Right, TPS (third person shooter). I've made that mistake on this forum before :( Haven't seen any evident of PvP at all.

I am still loving the game, even tho real life interfered and I didnt play that much. I at least made it to Eos and have done a little there.

I keep forgetting life support and killing my nomad :P

Yeah, it was three of us. In one sitting. The anger and frustration was flowing. Granted it should only have taken an hour or two, but we also all went into it blind and not knowing what to expect. Suffice to say, the feeling of elation was grand once we had completed it.

I must say, Andromeda looks really beautiful but I have little to no interest in the series/franchise. Though watching some streams last night it is looking to be the better of the series. I am however mostly interested in the MP side of things.

How does their MP business model fair? Progression and unlocks? Many microtransactions? Pay to win?

I've been sending my strike teams instead of playing the maps themselves. The one time I tried to play one of them myself nobody joined my lobby. I waited and waited. But when I look for a quick match I always find one in seconds. Will maybe try again tonight. It looks like it will only take 2 to 3 hours if you send a strike team. If you play it yourself then it's normal length but with some extra conditions. :)

I think it's more luck to win. You get points relatively quickly. So far I've only played Bronze games and made quite a lot of points. Apparently with Silver you get a lot more so I can just imagine Gold must give you a ton. So you only really need to pay if you aren't prepared to play for your points. Even then the packs are so random. You can get lots of crap or if you are lucky lots of great stuff. I haven't been that lucky. I watched a stream where the guy was so lucky and he didn't even know it. I don't know how he got such excellent stuff with all the packs that he bought.

Really enjoying it. Will try out silver difficulty soon and see how it goes.

I went back to the Nexus, still have lots to do on Eos. I'm hoping those drop points work as I expect... Also, no guns on the Nomad... Tried running over a lot of Kett. Didn't work D:

Doesn't seem that way... All I've seen on the PS store is buying points, which is used to buy crates. So pay to upgrade quickly? Nothing you can't get by knocking out a bunch of MP missions...

Could be wrong there though.

I sent in a strike team before shutting off my PS last night. Will be interesting to see if they're done yet, or if it will be actual in game time...

If you get the Android or iPhone app then you can check from your phone. You can also send out strike teams via your phone. :)

Ah, was wondering if that app is worthwhile. I'll give it a shot! Thanks :)

Just got my G4 back from warranty work, so I've been playing catchup on getting stuff installed...

Do I have you on PSN? I don't believe so.

Been doing the strike team mission from my phone all day and not sure why. It's Farmville all over again.
