Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes is short - very short

But if you had a choice between 2 hours of QUALITY versus 6 hours of Crap, which would u choose?

I choose quality over quantity any day of the week

Well considering that history has shown that any MGS game is easily capable of 15 hours+ of quality that is no excuse.

So how many of those two hours are spent watching cut-scenes :D
I remember picking up MGS 4 and really...those cut-scenes were beyond ridiculous things.

I tend to prefer my games run a little longer than two hours (closer to at least 10 hours) especially when you're paying good money for them so that I don't have to jump between another game just yet - so fewer quality games at longer lengths as opposed to many games that play with shorter length. Imagine GTA V was only two hours long with it's campaign...sure I'd have hated it if it was a crappy long game but we shouldn't allow developers to just feed us tiny amounts of content with their single player campaigns.

haha, exactly! MGS4 was borderline "interactive movie". i would prefer less meandering cutscenes and more actual gameplay.

Lol, and if we follow the math of that then we will have about 15 minutes of actual gametime

MGS4 was really hectic with the cutscenes, I found Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance seemed to have less, or at least shorter ones

Bumping it.It seems it may contain quite a bit more to do.

Play Magazine’s Sam Smith was more precise on what kind of completion percentage you’re going to by finishing the game in 90 minutes:
"Finished GZ for the first time in about 90 minutes. Total game completion? 9%. I think that tells you all you need to know."

@DouglasNerd added more to the debate about gameplay time, and talked about controls and the PS4 version of the game:
"So yeah, the main mission of Ground Zeroes is short. BUT, you really are not going to find and discover everything in 2 hours.

Controls are much, much better than in MGS4. Really easy to do all the stuff you want, easier to interrogate enemies etc.

Btw, the frame rate is butter smooth on PS4."

The link above has a few more impressions, but they are trending all over Konami's Twitter as well. Sorry if this has been posted (didn't see it)!

Bonus:
Giacomo Vaccari ‏@GiacomoVaccari:
Completed a full-stealth run of MGSV:GZ. Stealth is the best it's been yet. Controls are more fluid while staying true to MGS #MGSVGZNASU

Yeah my Twitter feed was packed full of positive feedback last night :). Can't wait to get my hands on it!

The interwebs have nothing but hype concerning this game. I think the biggest thing I'm excited for is better controls. As awesome as MGS4 was the controls were truly the weakest aspect of the game

I'm back on the hype train all I need now is a ps4 lol.
Something to ponder.

He is from play magazine
More from Kojima's own mouth.
Transcribed by DualShockers, Famitsu, Kojima said of PS4, ” I think, between the home consoles available in the domestic market, the PS4 is the best.

“It’s also excellent for graphics, being able to render 1080p at 60fps with room to spare. Since it does it a little better than other hardware, the image quality of the PS4 is the most beautiful. It’s the closest to the photorealistic quality we are aiming at.”

On Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes, Kojima explained that you could play each of the game’s missions multiple times to try different approaches, and that the game is almost entirely viewed through a single camera shot with very few cuts, even when moving to cut-scenes.

It follows a lot of games press tweeting about the game at an official preview event over in Japan. From what they’ve said, it can be completed in two hours but your completion stat will be terribly low. Hit the link to see what the press has been saying.
