Please note that we are expecting a slight delay on the Metal Gear Solid Game for PC. The release date is Tuesday 1 September but the supplier delivery to us will only occur on that day. We will ship this off to you immediately once we receive it, however depending on where you are situated you might only receive the stock as late as Friday.

I don't think the delay affects all retailers...

Also, not sure if you guys know this but apparently the physical PC version only comes with the steam app on the disc. You have to download the entire game from steam (about 26GB).

Seriously? What's the point of buying the disc version if the game files are not on the disc? Well there's 1 more day added to the delay... :mad:

Yeah, it's pretty terrible man. Fuck knows why they bothered with a physical version if the game isn't even on the disk.

Checked again and apparently there is only 9mb on the disc, not even the full steam app, just a downloader to install steam. Download is 28GB not 26. The worst part is that they don't even state this on the cover, so guys who don't know it are gonna get a big surprise when they put the disc in.

Sigh... Guess I'm playing starting Friday, really bloody disappointing...

At least it's still WAY cheaper than getting it directly on Steam, I suppose.

Now it's going to be even harder to avoid spoilers.

This is becoming commonplace. The last game that affected me in this way was Mortal Kombat X. I had to buy the game for someone else to download it it because of my really expensive mobile data - it was still cheaper than paying for 35Gigs of mobile data. Blizzard also likes to do it. As game discs increasingly become obsolete, this will become increasingly common.

lol... someone in my office has a "tummy bug" today and won't be coming in. Surprise! surprise!

it's doesn't help that everyone, including his manager, knows that today is MGS release day :p
