Is 2gb ram still enough to run games maxed out?
ja thats true, thats why if you running it on full then you know you have a good systemGTA4 is just a poorly coded port from Console or am I wrong? I think no matter what system you have by todays standards it will never play smoothly..

more like 4, i know stalker2 wanted 3 gb of ramIs 2gb ram still enough to run games maxed out?
as was just said on the thread.....OP: i cant really vouch GTA4 being a benchmark. sure it is resource hungry but from what i understand that's due to a sloppy port?
Yeah, I can't turn textures on high in GTA IV with only 2GB of RAM. However I can run Crysis on max without any stutter, so it really depends on the game. I play most games nearly maxed out without any issues.
Problem is once you go above 2gb you head into the murky world of how much ram can XP actually use......
and I really don't want to purchase and install Windows 7.

I ran XP for a long time - noticed a difference in speed going from 2-3gb, then from 3-4gb, even on a 32-bit system. Most noticeable was the lag in closing or starting up a game for instance. And framerates improved as well.
