MW3? Don't buy this crap.....

I think the fact that MW3 only won 1 award at the VGA speaks for its self. Granted BF3 didn't win any but still.
 
Agreed, MW3 is bad. Leave it alone. If they do not sell a lot of copies of MW4 or something they will up their standard. Right now they see that they can get away with anything.
 
I still dont understand what it is they did wrong?

They have a engine that works played on Steam that is awesome. So what the problem is?

Your graphics can be mind blowing but if you need 4GB patches to fix it then buddy im not to sure if your game was finished in the 1st place.

Take MW3 for what it is. Its a brilliant SP, fun Spec-Ops mode and the MP is brilliant for competitive play and if you just want to shoot some poeple for a couple of minutes.
 
You've got to keep in mind that there will always be high school boys with a passion for Michael Bay movies, loud explosions and Modern Warfare. Don't get me wrong, MW3 isn't a bad game by a long shot. It's just that for over R500 I'd like a game that not only gives me the best darn gaming experience money can buy but also massages my feet and makes 20 different cocktails while whistling Waltzing Matilda backwards. The game isn't that rubbish, but the quality you get for the price you pay?
Look, the single player was good in the same way a cheeseburger is good. You enjoy it a lot while you're eating it. But the enjoyment soon passes, and at 6 hours the single player campaign certainly wasn't much more than fast food. The multiplayer is awesome, but it's awesome that's been done before by MW2. I spent a LOT of time and money on MW2, and Im not gonna pay hundreds of bucks just to play the same thing again.

this is exactly how i feel this game should be closer to R300 below it would be more correct

You say it all works why change? Exactly, why not just release some dlc and save everyone R400. It was a waste of money and a huge cash in for activision at our expense.

I just want to clear something up, there are any dedicated servers right? For pc? or am i missing something? I cant play anything other than Team death match as there arent any decent ping'd games for me. By decent i mean around 150ms(which isnt asking for a lot).

Gotta agree there. I had SO much trouble with MW2 when the DLCs released, cause you could only play with people that had the exact same DLC configuration as you. So me, who had bought the DLCs, could only play with overseas guys cause all the SA people had stuck with the vanilla game
 
I'm really surprised with the lack of innovation in COD compared to BF. The leap between BF3 and BF2 is enormous, but the leap between COD MW3 and COD MW2 is tiny in comparison. And then you hear that COD has broken the $1b sales barrier in no-time.
 
I don't think you can use the BF2 to BF3 as a jump, there is a big bridge in between them, namely:
BF2142
BC
BC2
BF:Heroes
BFP4F
(I might be missing some iterations.)
 
Agreed, but then again, COD had Black Ops, and the core gameplay for multiplayer hasn't changed since Modern Warfare 2, while the price has just gone up.

well one example:
The BC2 weapon system and BF3 Weapon system are VERY different

3 upgrade slots in BF3

BC2, no such thing as upgrade slots at all....it used a different system....

thats just a small example...
