[MyGame] Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning

Bit of regret with starting this game through the [MyGame] "Challenge series". I don't get a lot of time for games anymore.
Most time I will have are Sundays (all day). I will still at least try to finish the main quest in the allotted time.

I'm still pottering around in Ettinmere - pretty much doing side quests most of the time. I am a slow RPG player though. That's why I carefully choose when I'll play one because I know it will take me ages to finish.

I've finally figured out how the widescreen fixer works. Running [at] an fov of 110.
It's just enough to not look too fisheye'd.

The more I play the game the more I like it. I find myself doing all kinds of sidequests now.

Hey don't worry, there's still lots of time! You have until the end of January which gives you ample opportunity to finish it. :)

I finally started playing over this long weekend and the game immediately felt like single player World of WarCraft. Which is what WoW itself sometimes feels like at lower levels, really.

Anyway, I tried rogue, switched to mage, and am now considering switching back to rogue again.

Most importantly: I've run myself into an inventory management issue. I like to keep the best items for every class in case I want to switch between them at a later stage, but now I'm starting to get sets and stuff...

I'm sure this has come up earlier in the thread... but is there like a stash or something I can offload items I want to keep in-between visits to a Fateweaver?

You can get a house in canneroc with a stash early on in the game its like the second area , and also certain Vendors sell backpacks that add extra space. first one is in Gohart

If you are not to worried about cash, you could sell those items. and just buy them back later, just be sure to note the vendor you sell them to, they don't disappear over time or anything, so it's like a paid stash :P

Game looks really good, even for an older game, running it on max detail.

Damn, those side quests, its like "I give you a side, he gives a side, everyone gives you a side quest!" You dont have to do them, but you just say hello to someone and they are like, "could you help me?" :p

But, in saying that about the game, its a really great game, kinda miffed I never tried it seriously, I kinda like the combat and there is quite some depth in the game wrt character developement.

Gotta say, I have not played WC, but have seen vids of it, this made me think of it, just the general look.

Well my Kingdoms of Amalur journey is over. I got to the main quest The Coming Storm and it's bugged for me and can't progress. Googling it it would appear that it has happened to other people too and seemingly the only way to fix it is to start over.

Now, I'm 15 hours in and screw that, there's no way I'm going to go through all that again.

So I really wanted to finish this MyGame but due to unfortunate events will be unable to do so.

How often did you save?
You can't simply load a previous save file and try again?

Also, how bugged is said quest?

I save over one file and unfortunately already saved over said file after the bug occurred because I didn't know it was a bug.

So bugged that I can't progress. It's the main quest and without it the door that you are supposed to go through won't open.

that sucks man. do you know when the "bug" occurs? Would help to know what to look out for so we don't have the same fate :(

Assume you had a look to see if there no mods that potentially fix it?

From what it sounds like your best bet of getting through without getting the bug is to just do the main quest until you speak to the king in the quest The Coming Storm. After that you can do what you want.

I went and did all kinds of other stuff. I finished one of the dlc's and I did side quests.

What I will do is I will stick it out and finish the game for both of us :P I am about 5 quests from the end.

[MENTION=20]Solitude[/MENTION] - I'm curious, when a [MyGame] challenge has been completed, can it be redone at a later stage? For those who wish to get the uniqiue badges? Like a year waiting period or something?

Aside from that, I read up about your dilemma, and it seems to be connected to finishing the House of Ballads quest(s).

Thanks for the heads up, but I tend to create a ton of new saves, learned from past hard learned lessons. Then after a while, I'll start over writing or deleting older saves.

Nope. The idea is to get everyone to play the game "together" and to discuss experiences and tactics in finishing it. It's no use if someone just plays any game anytime they want just to get the badge...

Nope you have to do them in the time period. :) It makes it more of a challenge.
