[MyGame] Spec Ops: The Line

Completed!

Survived? Who said I did?

Konrad had died a long time ago... Remeber that scene where Walker looks at the mother and child that had been killed by his actions? (After Walker had used the white phosphorus on both the soldiers and the civilians) He suffered a complete mental breakdown. He Could not accept his actions and with Lugo and Adams dead (conveniently). It would be easy for Walker to pin the blame on Konrad. Simply put, Walker suffered severe form of dissociative disorder along with PTSD.

I find this scene particularity interesting. This is the start of the game but also the end of Chapter 12 It's interesting because, Walker remembers this happening before. Déjà vu or a fourth wall break? I wracked my brain about it's implication in the game but could only come to the conclusion that it was a part of Walker's delusions.

One of the many small touches that I loved about the game was in the hated Chapter 13 - there is a change of tone and words that Walker uses to order his companions take out an enemy. His orders are more brutal, harsher. I also noticed that Adams' replies are impatient, with less respect for his captain.

Great analysis Glordit enjoyed your smooth gifv's and interpretation. Did you consider all the possible endings before deciding on Walker leaving Dubai in the care of the team sent to rescue him?

I noticed that too. It made his character feel like he was over everything. Killing now was just necessary, he had gotten that far and was not going to let it end.

What got my attention was from around chapter 12, and on wards when you where using the Minigun/turret you would start to grunt and wince when firing it for long periods of time.

I played through all 4 endings. I felt the surrender was the best, while no one besides Walker and you know what happened in Dubai, Walker has to live with it.

The other endings are...
Spoiler: show

 • Kill yourself instead of Konrad, when given the chance. Basically shoot your reflection.
 • Kill Konrad, then in the epilogue kill all the soldiers that come to pick you up. Once you are done, you pick up a radio and say "Welcome to Dubai" and promptly walk towards the city.
 • Kill Konrad, Then shoot the soldiers in the end and get killed. This will cause a monologue to start about you going home. Konrad will comment that men like you don't go home.

Chapter 14: The Bridge

Update:

Chapter 15: Welcome.

I still need to finish it. Was in hell, aka Bryanston/Sandton for a week.

Only good thing there is a Mexican restaurant called Perron in Hobart Grove center.

There's a Mexican restaurant called La Rosa just around the corner from me. You really have to try it sometime. However they are so popular that you have to book beforehand.

Also you don't have much time left! It's a short game though so I hope you'll get a couple of hours to play before the month is over.

I'm going to try and finish Spec Ops before Mass Effect: Andromeda is downloaded and unlocked. Restarted, and currently on Chapter 5.

While I'm sure folks have moved on already, if anyone wants to give co-op a go, give me a holler. I'll be on Discord too.
