I agree, as a newbie on this site.
I kind of like it here and would love to become a regular after awhile.
Things that attracted me to this site, is friendliness between people here (respect), competitions and talking to people that are in the same shoes or boat like me, same interest, please keep up the good work.

I agree. Obviously the competition is bound to attract a lot of newcomers - who wouldn't want to win a PS4? But apart from that the forum also seems to be a genuinely nice place to share a common interest. Win or not I will be here for a while.
 
For series if there is enough people who are going to post in it perhaps two thread instead of one as per mybb?

Same, only I suggest we add the prefix system so it can be included in the thread name which would allow sorting in the back end to be simpler?

Yeah, I know the feeling. I still haven't watched Lost and yet I watched a movie recently which spoilt the ending. :cry:

BB code be easier than having multiple threads? Also why is every series discussed in one thread? That's just asking for trouble, IMO the series thread should rather be a sub-forum with individual threads for each show.

The forum software that MyGaming uses does not include a spoiler tag and they do not want to make use of external plugins because of the chance that future upgrades may be incompatible.
 
Unless there is a massive amount of series discussion, there will be no sub-forums created.

You guys try out creating single threads for each series being discussed and we'll see how it goes.

We won't implement any plugins for spoiler tags. This is not a standard vB feature; plugins break and makes everyone's life miserable.

I appreciate the efforts - I don't need updates on every thread created. Keep the suggestion box for suggestions. Thanks.
 
I think we may be in for a spam fest of TV series threads... I think the "spoiler" and "non Spoiler" threads was a better idea...

I don't quite agree. I abhor meta-threads. It's no fun trying to discuss Warehouse 13, while another group of people are discussing Defiance and yet another group are trying to discuss Game of Thrones, all in the same thread. It's a very cluttered and clunky way of trying to follow a discussion.

Separate threads for separate TV shows trump meta-threads, imo. If they start cluttering the OT forum and it becomes a problem, maybe we can rather have a separate subforum for all TV and movie-related discussions.

Its a good suggestion but I don't think they can have separate sub folders for all TV and movie-related discussions. , because not all the people watch the same tv series, so I would just recommend putting up a tv series if it is really popular, in one thread we should maybe vote for all the popular series and then make maybe the top 10 sub folders, the same with movies.
 
No, I'm not saying they should make separate subforums for every specific TV show or movie. I'm saying it might be a good idea to have a dedicated forum into which all series and movie discussion threads go into.

It already exists and it is called "Off Topic" :)

Also, I know what you meant and my answer still applies. If there is a MASSIVE amount of ongoing series discussion, then sure. Otherwise it's not necessary.
