Ye that combination thread sounds ridiculous ....... The point is to share/discover what others are watching and listening to. It will all be a glob with pages and pages of unrelated crap to go through if combined.

Threads won't be merged.

I can unsticky threads but I'll be pretty brutal in my culling - pretty much everything will get unstuck.

Music should be on it's own but the others go together.

Not a chance. Movies, Series and Anime are so wildly different from each other that you would have no coherent discussion happening. At the very least, I know enough people who have an active dislike of anime that they would get pissed at seeing seeing anime related stuff posted in the series thread. And vice versa.

Debating this is moot - I'm not merging any of the threads mentioned.

Arguments for the merits of why or why not are also moot. Basically, these threads have been indexed by Google from the moment they were created, so changing thread titles and merging large threads is not good for SEO and harms the forum.

Creating new threads is dead easy, and so anyone is welcome to create a catch-all equivalent and see if it takes off.

(obligatory smiley face to diffuse the sharp nature of my remark) :)

301 redirects, James. Changing page titles (thread names) or even entirely removing them won't kill your SEO at all :p

Point taken about the debate though :)

Well then there should be a subforum for them if stickies and merging bother some :D

Let's experiment with unsticking a bunch of threads. The logic being that if they are popular, they will be on the top of the page anyway.

Don't know if this counts, but , I can't view the different pages of a forum using Opera mini.

What's the problem exactly (please describe what you can't do)?

Are you using the mobile view of the full site view?

Which device are you using?

Which version of Opera mini?

Compatibility across the variety of mobile devices and browsers is one of the biggest challenges, so as much information as possible will help us resolve any issues or uncover the root of the problem.

It's been suggested before - it's a no-go. The response is generally that we should rely on the report post button if we have an issue with a particular post.

Duly noted, thanks for the feedback. I use the report post, just wondering if they work all hours though.
