Is there a way to enable notifications, like they have on some other forums?

So far example, if I want to get your attention in a specific thread, I would post a message and have @Jan in it. You would then get a notification when u next log in.
 
Two things;

1. To add to what @Hiro was mentioning, would also be nice to have an unread/participated view (if possible). Like TapaTalk has, I find it extremely useful.

2. I tried searching for a thread first, before creating a new one, and it return a single search result. Now I could be mistaken, but I am positive there would be something on this site that relates to my search query of; The Last of Us.
 
so, what i was looking for was something that is in effect on the sagamer forum. if somebody wants to get your attention, they use "@username" in a post and when you login, it shows up under a NOTIFICATIONS dropdown. same with posts where you get quoted.

this ensures that you never miss anything that was directed at you.

Where did you perform this search?

The forum software's search is quite limited, so we've included a Google search option to augment it.

Here's a link to a search via Google, which you should be able to perform by clicking the "Google search" option in the forum as well: https://www.google.com/search?clien...+site:mygaming.co.za/forum/&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8

Aaah... I see what you did there. I just figured, "Why would I want to search Google from MyG when Google has their own page!"

My suggestion is that Kevin be more active on the forums. I mean with previous admin and mods we got to know the people but Kevin is currently just a name.

Come now Kevin! Who are you? what games do you like? :)

Hi Solitude,

You are right, I do need to spend more time on the forum. MyGaming and MyBroadband keeps me very busy most of the time, but that is no excuse.

As you probably know, I am a console gamer - PS4 right now - but I have always enjoyed and played on PC, too.

Setting up a two-PC LAN with your neighbour and playing Tiberium Sun until the early hours of the morning is a rite of passage all gamers must go through.

I even owned a Game Boy colour at one stage and sunk countless hours into Pokemon Gold. So, a diverse gaming background.

At the moment I am playing Abe's Oddysee New 'n Tasty on hard and trying to save over 200 mudokons

Anyway, I will try and get more involved and drop a few comments in active threads.

Merged Threads

Hey Overlords!

I'd like to suggest something: can we perhaps keep threads that are about exactly the same topic, as a single/(merged?) thread?

Here's an example of what I mean:
At the moment, there are two threads open on what September's PS+ games are. Then we also have the Playstation Plus thread, which is discussing that exact same topic at the moment. If you want to follow the entire conversation, you have to be following three separate threads.

I don't mind it, I just think that if the discussion occurred in one thread, it would have a better audience and a much richer (can I even use that word?) conversation.
 
Question to the mods, is it forums system limitations that we can't post HTML5 videos? It saves a ton of bandwidth as opposed to using the .gif extension.

Unfortunately you cannot post HTML videos in the forum. One of the forums rules/restrictions/regulations.
