MyGaming’s highs and lows of the year

And to continue on the theme:

Solitude
Solitude works too hard and doesn't get enough time to game. He is pretty miserable that he still needs to work next week but oh man he can't wait for that week of gaming time starting the day after Christmas.

Your favourite game of 2014?
I tend to buy games when they go on special so of the games that I played this year I'd say Bioshock Infinite was my favourite. Now the DLC must just go on a really good special.

Your gaming highlight of 2014?
2014 saw an explosion of games. More games were released on Steam this year than all the previous years combined. (I made that up but it may be true.) Back in the day there were a couple of games to choose from but now there are so many games in so many genres.

You gaming lowlight of 2014?
Definitely Eskom. Game time is scarce and Eskom robbed us of that.

Your favourite game of 2014?
Grimrock 2 just could not get enough of this game once woke up at 2 am and went to play it till 4 am.

Your gaming highlight of 2014?
Humble bundles are just too good. Also finishing a long heist in payday 2 with only a golden ak and suits on overkill!

You gaming lowlight of 2014?
Watching vids of assasins creed unity also fk eskom and their long blackouts.

TSAR!

Your favorite game of 2014?

Discovering the awesomeness of dark souls

Sometimes decides to pack up his shit and go.

Your favourite game of 2014?

Shadow of Mordor was the perfect combination of forgettable storyline and insanely addictive brutal combat. In a sea of AAA reruns, it stood out as being pure genuine fun.

Your gaming highlight of 2014?

Dota 2 International taking eSport to new heights. It was loads of fun watching and participating in the compendium challenges. Valve sure knows how to make spending money fun.

Your gaming lowlight of 2014?

Watch Dogs was rubbish.

Gaming highlight was probably finally understanding how Civ 5 works and getting used to the changes from Civ 4.

My lowlight has been the past 5 weeks without my PC and Internet connection. Struck by lightning on 19/11 I was. Took out mostly my PCs, televisions, decoders, modem and other electronics. Now I am patiently waiting for Telkom to give me a line with internet.

I suppose that the upside of this is a new rig and a kick-ass set of speakers (the speakers I paid in a bit on the insurance money to get something I wanted).
